[0.65 lb] I recently had the pleasure of using the DayStar Filters Eclipse Glasses during a solar eclipse, and I must say, they provided an exceptional viewing experience. However, there are a few important precautions to keep in mind. Firstly, let's talk about their primary purpose: viewing eclipses. These glasses offer superb protection for your eyes during solar events, allowing you to witness the celestial dance safely. The clarity and crispness of the view were remarkable, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. However, it's crucial to emphasize that these glasses are not suitable for activities like driving, even on sunny days. While they excel at blocking out the intense light of the sun, they also significantly reduce visibility. Attempting to operate a vehicle while wearing them would be extremely dangerous, as you simply won't be able to see the road or other vehicles properly. Furthermore, I must stress the importance of not using these glasses for activities such as surgery or woodworking. The diminished visibility could lead to serious accidents, potentially resulting in injury. It's not worth the risk, so please exercise caution and use appropriate eye protection for such tasks. In summary, the DayStar Filters Eclipse Glasses are fantastic for viewing eclipses and protecting your eyes during solar events. However, they are not suitable for driving or engaging in hazardous activities where clear vision is essential. Stay safe and enjoy the wonders of the cosmos responsibly!

[0.13 lb] Glasses were perfect and arrived on time (even ordering less than a week before the eclipse when the stock of glasses were still on backorder).

[3/8"-16] This little piece of kit is the center column I normally use with my Feisol CT-3441 tripod. It allows me to get down to ground level when doing macro work. If you purchase this column be aware that with the above mentioned tripod you can only extend the height of your tripod about 1/2 inch by raising this column. The standard column allows a good 80-10 inches of rise. This isn't a problem for me because I rarely extend the center column on my tripods and only if I can't get the shot any other way.

[1.65 lb] I have the CT-3402 which is a flexible easy to use tripod. You can add various center columns to your needs which I think is a good feature. I had an issue with the set screws but I replaced them with better M4 screws that tighten & loosen easily. I mainly shoot in the dark and finding the small original screws may be a chore. Simple to use & lightweight.

[3/8"-16] I use my Feisol CT-3472LV in Studio portraits as well for landscapes. The center leveling column is very practical, slides smoothly and tights firmly. I would say it is the best tripod I ever came across, and I would buy it again and again. Important to notice the outstanding customer service: I disasembled the center column to try the the optional leveling base CT-3472 and couldn't put the parts back together (see picture). Feisol took the time to quickly send me a step-by-step guide on how to reassemble it back. I really appreciated!

[2.4 in] Added this center column to my CT-3372. It added about 1 pound of weight. Columns is very sturdy and tightens very good. Was worried about the column being wobbly, but it's not. Adds over 1 foot of height which is great if the tripod is below you on the side of an incline.

[1.3 lb / 0.6 kg] I have been using the Feisol CT-3472LV tripod for about 6 weeks now and I love it. It opens and closes easily, it's lightweight and is very sturdy.I didn't think I would use the leveling center column, but I actually use it quite often. It also comes with a nice bag, and a mounting plate in case you want to remove the center column.

[0.8 in] It's a great option to have for the CT-3442 Tripod. Good quality construction, and as solid as center columns can usually be. The CT-3442 still can fit in its supplied bag with this center column attached.
