Dell 34 Gaming Monitor

[72% CIE1976] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the 34" G5 Odyssey Gaming Monitor for a couple of months now, and it has completely transformed how I interact with my devices. This monitor is an absolute game-changer for both work and play. For gaming, the ultra-wide screen and high refresh rate provide an immersive experience. Games look stunning with vibrant colors and sharp details, and the smooth motion makes a huge difference in fast-paced games. The curved design really pulls me into the action, making everything feel more intense and realistic.

[80%] I recently upgraded from an older 34-inch LG monitor to the LG UltraGear 32GP850-B and the difference is night and day. Despite its gaming pedigree, with features like a 165 Hz overclocking capability, I find it exceptional for both my professional tasks and leisure gaming. The QHD resolution offers sharp images and accurate colors, easily adjustable via the intuitive joystick control. The high PPI ensures everything on screen is crisp and readable, marking a significant upgrade in my daily use. While the price point is competitive, offering great value, I've encountered a minor inconvenience: the lack of profile saving for different usage scenarios. Switching from a low-refresh work mode to a high-refresh gaming setting requires manual adjustments each time. Despite this, the monitor's performance has been flawless in my few weeks of use. It strikes a perfect balance for anyone seeking a monitor that excels in both work and play, thanks to its superb refresh rates and color fidelity. Highly recommended.

[Black] Mounted a VIOTEK GNV34DBE 34-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor to this VESA 75x75 , on a mobile sit stand desk, bolted through the work surface. Regained my desktop real-estate and I don't have to worry about the monitor falling off the back of the desk when I roll it about. Was looking for a simple, no need for a swinging arm, monitor stand, this works perfect.

[Yes] This monitor really is something else. I'm upgrading from a pretty budget Dell gaming monitor, same 27 size, but every other spec is a huge upgrade. The colors are vibrant, it responds insanely fast, and the framerate and clarity of motion is completely unmatched on the market currently. Coming from a 1080p monitor, the pixel density has far surpassed my previous experience. Additionally, the monitor has a lot of tools to help you get a long life out of it as well that prevent burn-in. The monitor is fantastic for the form factor. I won’t say that it’s perfect. I’m still getting used to the glossy finish of the screen. It sometimes takes a few seconds to alt-tab out of a game. Still, the monitor is the best thing I’ve laid my eyes on and it’s been an absolute pleasure to use. I highly recommend it!

[Internal] This was used to replace my wife's 27 Dell gaming monitor which performed fantastic, but died with vertical lines starting and growing to be worse and worse. She is not a gamer, but the color is great with this IPS monitor, and it does not have glare issues like most monitors do these days. I swear that whoever builds this unit also builds the Dell she had before - they both seem very similar.

[16:9] This is an upgrade from my 2015 Dell UltraSharp 34 curved display (3440 x 1440) that still works. I like the larger size and higher 5K x 2K resolution. I installed Dell Display Manager app to make it easy to choose input source and other settings. When connecting the monitor to two computers (like my main one via DisplayPort plus one I'm setting up via HDMI), the DDM software makes it easy to view the two sources side-by-side, while the 40 screen and high resolution makes that practical for legibility.
