[External] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Plugable USB 2.0 2-Port Splitter in exchange for my use and honest review. This is absolutely the epitome of "plug and play" technology. All I had to do was open the packaging, insert it in one of my computer USB ports and voila! How convenient!

[9 x 5 x 0.15"] Just a converter from usb-c / hdmi. Works fine with my Dell screen. Zero issues up till now. Great product.

[Bus Powered ] As more and more devices are going to have USB-C port, I want to have one adapter for future prove. The compatibility is super, I used a XPS13 and a Dell monitor and found it can support 4K60Hz for both HDMI and DP! Nice Product.

[99% sRGB] I bought this as an upgrade from an older Dell U2715H purchased in 2015. My older UltraSharp still worked well, but the lack of USB-C docking and power was inconvenient, and I needed to use all three USB-C ports on my laptop when working at my desk. With the U2723QE, just one USB-C plug handles them monitor, power, external hard drive, and a slew of accessories connected to the monitor. The upgrade from sRGB to Display P3 is nice, too... but may not be hugely noticeable, depending on what you're using the monitor for. Finally, the U2723QE works perfectly with the MonitorControl app (macOS only) when you want to adjust the brightness of the monitor using your Mac keyboard's brightness buttons.

I bought this for the USB-C hub feature. If you look at a USB hub from a major manufacturer like dell, they cost nearly as much as this monitor. Its a great deal to basically get a free monitor when using as a hub.

[1 x USB-A Male] This works quite well as long as you don't use a Dell USB docking station. That docking station overwhelms the USB bus with video signal and makes any other hub time out. Can't even use the docking station just for video and this for the USB. Otherwise it works like a charm. Fast switching between machines.

[Yes, Kensington] With the newer Dell XPS laptops largely abandoning USB-A ports, wired Ethernet ports, and HDMI/DisplayPort ports, having a dock is pretty much necessary for expansion as many current peripherals are still USB-A. I have an earlier Thunderbolt 3 dock on my work-proved Dell Precision, and it requires 2 cords to the laptop, where this Thunderbolt 4 only requires 1 - and has 130W charging pass-through (from the 180W power brick) so it can keep up even when pushing the machine hard. And I'll be able to hook it up to my wired network for throughput greater than what I can manage with WiFi.

I bought this for my new Dell XPS 8700. I worked immediately, and I did not have to install software. When I first plugged items into the ports, there was some lack of connection, but all is well now (must have had some dust in there).NOTE: I tried a different 3.0 card on my older Dell XPS 8000 (which did not have 3.0 USB ports), and it did not work. I assume your computer must be able to handle USB 3.0 for these cards to work.

[2] I'm using it to share a USB docking station between two laptops, a dell and an HP. Th docking station has two monitors, a mouse, and a keyboard. It seems to be working really well.

[Active] Easy, cost-effective way to add another monitor using a USB port (Dell 755 running Windows 7). Got message during installation that video chipset may not be compatible, but encountered not problems. Can't detect any performance issues using a USB 2.0 port.
