[5.0] I read extensive reviews about these speakers for use by my iMac computer. So... I took a chance. When I opened the packaging they arrived in, I knew I was in for a treat. The way these were wrapped and packaged, it was clear that they were of premium quality. After connecting them to my computer, what a joy. I have a degree in music so I may be a bit more discriminating than some. They look great, too. The down side... It's too easy to spend even more time at my computer with the music I love. 5 |

[0.35 oz / 10 g] The ES-2 is more deluxe but this one does what is needed and once set up, is just as easy to use as the fancier version. This ES-1 is especially the choice for someone experienced and who already has a few other useful devices on hand. For such a person ... like me ... this device NOT LIMITED to the specific lenses that Nikon built it for and is also not limited to only 1:1 use ... IOW it can crop and it can fit many other lenses from various formats of cameras. The 2 keys to making it verrrry versatile are: A. Step up, or down, rings if your lens is not 52mm filter size. B. A set of very basic obsolete manual extension tubes [not need to be for Nikon]. Most of these old sets use 52mm M-F tubes of 3 different lengths. The 52mm tubes come in handy for adapting the ES-1 to macro lenses of longer than 55 or 60mm FL. If none of that makes sense to you, you should get the ES-2 instead of the ES-1. 5 |
