[0.92 lb] I've had this unit for only about a month and in that time I've tested it out and it's done well (used mostly for digital conversion of old tapes). There's really nothing complicated about the operations -- they're very straightforward. The sound quality is good. The machine itself seems robust. I hope it holds well up over time. As others have pointed out, there's really little competition these days among sellers of audio cassette players/recorders. Unless you can find a lightly used or reconditioned higher-end unit at a good price from a reliable seller, this Tascam seems to be the best unit around.

[Atdec] I am converting slides (100's) and negatives (100's) to digital photos. It is easy to use and the conversion is excellent. The software allows you to correct the little problems found in the slides and negatives. The work is a little tedious because it is a manual operation but for the price I will take the inconvenience.

[512 MB] I replaced my 4 Avid HDX converters with this and it was as though a vail was lifted from Pro Tools. The amount of high quality audio conversion Antelope packed into this box is dizzying. But, to also add a digital patchbay, real-time zero latency audio plugins, real-time conversion to and from various digital formats and more is insane. Then there's the Thunderbolt connection and high resolution master grade stereo out, which is a thing of beauty. I really don't know how I managed before buying this thing! It is now the nerve center of my entire pro studio, which features 32 channels of audio I/O plus another 32 over dante, which feed 64 channels of HDX i/o. And, these are all interconnected via the built in patch bay. This one unit high box replaced an entire rack of gear. One of my best purchases ever.

[0.14 lb] Great true digital infrared photos by easy do-it-yourself removal of the infrared filter in my Sigma SD15 camera. Putting the SD15 filter back in to restore it back to normal is, for me, less easy but doable.

[0.085 lb] I use the Hoya Red #25 filter primarily for digital infrared photography. There are many out there that are much lower in cost but always remember, you get what you pay for. Hoya has been my brand of filter for most of my IR work. Their quality is very good and consistent, and for the price, you can't go wrong.

[Vivid Magenta] I produce digital infrared photographs, and prefer to print them on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper, which requires matte black ink. I always get beautiful results from this product.
