Digital Camera Optical Viewfinder

[P-TTL] This camera appealed to me because it promised a quirky experience--an optical viewfinder and no ability to capture color. Based on my usage of the camera to date, Pentax delivered on that original promise. The viewfinder is bright, and the sensor produces tonally rich images. This is my first and only digital camera from Pentax, yet I didn't have trouble learning the camera's core functions. It feels well-made, which adds to the joy of using this camera. I think it is a great tool for exploring black-and-white photography.

Overall an excellent point and shoot camera with 10X optical zoom and a viewfinder. I bought this camera for me wife to replace her Canon which she dropped and broke the screen. After reading the included guide book, she was able to access most of the many settings. It can be quite complex for someone who is not an experienced photographer. Love the viewfinder for bright outdoor photos. Only complaint is that the wifi is no longer supported by Lumix--yuk! So moving photos to a Mac is not simple.

[Yes] The Panasonic HC-VX981 turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Top 2 qualities are ease of use and unequaled image quality, seriously, watching my movies and pictures on a TV screen seems like I am at the movies! Then, as you dwell into what the camera offers you, your horizon keeps expanding, both using the different modes and formats it offers. Stabilization is great, and so is the little light for night scenes. Additionally, the movie shoots in complete darkness, using infra-red. The only feature I would have like to have is a wide-angle around 29mm or lower. The zoom is optical at 20x, (phenomenal), then a hybrid optical/digital at 25x, and a digital going to 1,500x. The camera is light at use, but I recommend a larger battery. It's a 4k camera, with a clean HDMI.

[Manual Focus] Loving this lens with my fuji x pro 3, i use it with the optical viewfinder and focus peaking to have that rangefinderish sensation. This lens is not for people that want clinical sharpness. This lens is for people that are shooting jpegs with film recipes or people that want to emulate film.

[0.04 lb] Easily Screws into the existing optical viewfinder of the M246. Correction is exact and certainly makes it a lot easier to focus if you are wearing prescription glasses.

[3-Year ] I attached the GV-1 External Viewfinder by Ricoh to my Ricoh GR's hot shoe and it fit perfectly. It is very stable and is removable when you want the hot shoe for something else, or just want the bare camera. It presents a great alternative viewfinder to the camera's picture display, especially when lighting conditions render it difficult to view. My husband loves the external viewfinder because he doesn't have to put on his glasses to see the view when he is taking pictures. I highly recommend the GV-1!

[Lanyard] I use this with my 4x5 field camera. It is very handy and I can see clearly through my viewfinder on the back of the camera.

[5 VDC at 1.8 A] This unit has all the features I need, including the digital optical inputs, compact size, great sound. This is not a main unit in our household, but rather in a casita with an art studio and guest lodging. It is perfect, and we use other outboard units to digitally network this into networked music server.

[0] Use it over optical digital from TV Sony XBR-65X900C. Comfortably covers my big ears and delivers incredible surround sound. As expected from Sennheiser, the Dynamic Base is great for music, but there is no better setup for late-night TV and movies.
