[Aluminum] I'm thrilled to be able to use my Zeiss lenses on a digital camera -- not quite automatic, but it works

[4.005 lb] This is my first Zeiss lens. It is everything that I had ever read about.

[0.05 lb] The lens will be used with my Zeiss Ikon camera for black and white fotos primarily.

[Nikon F] I recently acquired this lens during a downsizing session to reduce weight in my camera bag. The lens it was replacing was a ZEISS Milvus 50mm f/1.4 ZF.2...a hefty beast, and tough shoes to fill. I was initially impressed with the performance of this lens. There was no discernable difference in clarity and sharpness over the Zeiss counterpart, at half the weight...and at nearly half the price. I was able to sell the used Zeiss and recover enough to get the Voightlander with a few bucks left over.

[0.05 lb] This adapter makes it easy to use older Zeiss, Leica, and even Russian lenses on modern digital cameras. Opens up a whole new world in lens choice. Highly recommended.

[Sony E] This 40mm Art is not like other art lenses which are already great. in sharpness is outperforms its 85mm 1.4 art brother. also outperforms zeiss batis and zeiss otus...  In fact it is a Cine grade lens in consumer category. Been comparing it with 70-200 IS2 and 85mm art i can say that it is a hidden gem!!!  if you are oversmart you can check my findings from the findings of digital picture https://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=1392&Camera=979&Sample=0&FLI=0&API=4&LensComp=1072&CameraComp=979&SampleComp=0&FLIComp=1&APIComp=0

[0.245 lb] I own (and love) my newer Blackmagic Design 6k camera with full frame sensor and Leica L mount. I also have a number of wonderful new and old Zeiss PL mount fixed cinema lenses. (18mm - 200mm) So when I saw this adapter for sale at B&H, along with a good review of it, I took the plunge. I am not disappointed. With this adapter, a fairly heavy Zeiss lens with ARRI PL mount, like their CP.2 25mm for example, hangs off the Blackmagic camera with no discernible wiggle. The lens goes on and off a bit tight, but hey, that's what I wanted. It looks great too, with excellent machining and black surface coating. Note that — nothing to do with this excellent adapter itself — my oldest 1970s vintage Zeiss Super-16 lenses, while still producing great images, do vignette at the image corners, from 9mm to 16mm when the Blackmagic camera is set to FF 6k, exactly as I expected. But I could not have verified that without this Simmod adapter. Note also that simply changing the Blackmagic camera setting to capture a more restrictive Super-35 4k size, allowed more of my older PL mount Super-16 lenses to be used. The lens coating on those older Zeiss is not quite as nice as the newer CP.2 or CP.3 but still hard to see much difference in most lighting conditions. Again, this Simmod adapter allowed me to test all this.

[Metal] Solid build. Fits the camera and lens perfect! Used with a Hasselblad (Zeiss T) CF 80mm f/2.8 and the pictures are incredible. Manual mode only. Focus infinity with no problems. Very sharp!
