2 MP] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving one-too-many strange visitors at my door, I decided that it was time to get a video doorbell. I have always been wary of adding more technology to my home out of concern for my privacy, but this system is private and secure. All videos are stored in your home (not the cloud) and can be deleted by you at any time. Setup was fairly easy. The directions aren't very detailed but getting started is pretty straightforward. I love that the device serves as a doorbell, an intercom, and a camera. I can do a live view to see what is happening at my door, even when I am not home. I can also review videos to see what happened during the day. The night-vision is pretty good and I like that it lights up at night when someone approaches. There are so many settings including package detection and reminders, ignoring non-human movement, automatically alerting you and responding if someone is loitering outside your door, and ignoring certain areas so the device is not triggered by cars driving by. The options are endless, perfect for the differing needs of different homes. I was also worried about it needing to be connected to the internet since my internet is sometimes spotty but it hasn't overloaded my internet or caused outages. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by how this doorbell strikes the perfect balance of ensuring privacy while providing numerous options for security!

[0.75 lb] I have 3 Nest IQ Outdoor cameras and have just installed the Nest Hello Doorbell. The products are all excellent in quality. My only issue is the lag time from actual movement to the time I get notification. There seems to be a considerable time from real time to notification. I have the highest speed internet available so not sure where the problem lies. Any ideas on how to improve this?

[Yes] I bought this to make sure I had constant wifi converge to my ring out cameras and doorbell. A little overkill I'm sure but it gets the job done. With HD1080P cameras it was hard to keep a constant Wi-Fi signal at one of my cameras farthest from the router to give me a clear picture. Put this in the garage and it now provides seamless uninterrupted coverage to all of my cameras. I couldn't be happier

It always disconnected from the internet when you tried to playback video or talk through it. They always blamed my internet. The Lorex camera has a strong internet connection and only takes about 8 seconds to load even when I’m away from home. My second reason to upgrade to Lorex is I have 8 wired cameras that work great. It’s very convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only needing one app. Have 4K video is also a bonus. If you’re looking for a video doorbell go and a purchase, you won’t be disappointed. For several reasons, I opted to upgrade to a Lorex video doorbell. Firstly, my previous video doorbell, integrated into my security alarm system, consistently disconnected from the internet when attempting to playback video or engage in voice communication. The manufacturer consistently attributed these issues to my internet connection. In contrast, the Lorex camera boasts a robust internet connection and only requires approximately 8 seconds to load, even when I am away from home. Secondly, I have eight wired cameras that perform exceptionally well. It is highly convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only require a single application. Additionally, the 4K video resolution is a significant advantage. If you are seeking a video doorbell, I highly recommend making a purchase, as you will not be disappointed.
