[Lithium-Ion] I think it is too much to pay 25% of the camcorder price for a battery. Anyway it is necessary and gives you double working time.

[0.605 lb] I use this grip with a Sony A7SII camera. The primary reason is for using this grip is to double battery capacity attached to the camera. The grip is very light without the batteries and using it adds ergonomics of holding camera especially with a larger lens. The only negative is awkwardness of inserting battery in one of two bays but it something one can get used to.

[2700 to 10,000K] I use this with the Gemini 1x1 hard. That light draws a lot. I first tried this single plate with the batteries I had and it could not keep the light on at full power for long. So I returned it and bought the double plate. But for travel, the double takes more space, so after some research, I gave the single plate another change. You need a battery with high draw. The Anton Bauer 243w T batteries won't handle it, because they only go up to 12a, but the Core SWX 293 can reach 16a peak, so it can handle the light at full power just fine. I hear the Anton Bauer XT batteries can also handle it, because they have a high draw. Doesn't really matter the WH of the battery, that just determines for how long. Just make sure your batteries can go past 12a.

Since the R5 Mirrorless camera runs through batteries having this attachment to double the battery life to me is a must have, and it works excellently.

[Black] So, I read a review saying that it didn't fit their lut7 monitor. So, I was hesitant to purchase this monitor cage. Then I realized that bh sells a lut7 monitor that has a different single battery pack on the back. Mine is the normal one with the double battery pack on the back. This cage fits my lut7s double battery housing rack on the back. If you have something different. It may not work for yours. I hope this helps.

[0.975 lb] Was a little bummed at first because it only holds one battery. After reading more about it, you put one in the body and one in the grip and that's how you get the double battery feature so now i am in love again!
