[0.37 lb] I have replaced all the DP to VGA adapters for my office computer (Dell OptiPlex 780's). This adapter secures well to the computer and being it has a pigtail it does not extend much past the onboard VGA monitor cable. I have 35 workstations with dual monitors and non of these adapters have failed going on three years.

[0.05 lb] As several of the other reviews have commented, this is an adapter, not a converter. If your component has S-Video output and VGA, though your VGA port, this works perfect. However, only a small percentage of components have this output. PC's usually do, so if that is what you are trying to convert, you might be good. Recommendation... check carefully, you likely will need a converter and not an adapter.

[100 ohms] Having had to upgrade to a new Win 10 Laptop I was disappointed to find that there was no VGA port to allow doing presentations. This converter is the answer to the problem by providing a VGA connection through the HDMI port on the Laptop. I tried using a USB to VGA converter and it did not work.

[19 x 18 x 2.5"] Got this instead of the  Gefen HDMI/VGA to 3G-SDI Scaler/Converter, as this Lumantek was enough from a feature set, and with the dipswitches, all adjustable on the device without software or screens. Simple, solid, and reliable.  In one shoot, it even brought through a more accurate color rendering than the TVs and Projectors, showing our presenting laptop had a yellow night time screen mode on. Once we disabled that feature on the PC, this device showed our footage as pure white again. Wouldve been noticed on the stream, but not in the room. Nice.

[0.7 lb / 0.3 kg] I recently discovered a workaround for the three HDMI inputs that quit working on my Vizio TV. They stopped working over a year ago. I saw a YouTube video that showed how to use the VGA input on the TV to make HD video available to me once again. Using this product, along with an HDMI switcher I already owned, a short VGA cable, and a short stereo 1/8 audio cable HD video is once again available to me. The DVR and Blu-ray player plug in to switcher. The converter plugs into the output of the switcher. The short VGA goes between the converter and the TV. The short audio cable connects to the converter and the TV. Simple as that and it worked on the first try.
