[2.5 GB] The depth of the sounds in this virtual instrument is staggering. It's like going from an SD TV to an OLED 8k HDTV. Very pleased with my purchase especially from B&H. Super fast shipping and the best price I could find online anywhere. Cheers! W. Oliver

[0.095 lb] Got this based on my experience with the TE Op-1, a modern classic. The Z is smaller, more powerful, and a distinctly different instrument to the OP-1. The emphasis here is on performance, and the influence of the Pocket Operators is strong on this. Theres a lot of options and control behind an interface that has a bit of a learning curve. Bear through it, it pays off! The integration to do light controls and Unity to do visuals on an iPhone or iPad is a game changer. Its easy to connect and is the ultimate tool to impress at a house party (sadly no longer in my repertoire). Its pricey and doesnt compare with synths in its price category for synth editing and sound creation, as its really a category of its own. The sequencing, sampling, sound engines, etc. all together makes it the ultimate musical tinker tool on the airplane, tour bus, backwoods -- wherever. If history is any indicator, TE will invest in lots of updates that will continue to unlock functionality over time, which is like getting a new instrument every few months. Recommend buying one - put the future of synth workstations in your pocket!

[4.86 lb] Great, powerful instrument at a great package price on B&H. I'm a guitar player and I was just looking for something to give me some new sounds and inspiration - the XD definitely did. The presets are great right out of the box, but the journey into designing my own analog synth sounds has been even better due to the intuitive layout of the XD. The built in effects are great, and then I downloaded a few 3rd party effects and oscillators to make this versatile synth even more versatile. It's a great starter if you're looking to go down the synth rabbit hole. I can also see it taking a good bit of time to outgrow the XD too. It really has it all in there.

[Empty] Wow! I’ve had this drum machine for just a few hours and already I can tell I’ve barely scratched the surface of what this machine is capable of. There is so much this machine can do, it’s a shame to call it just a drum machine. It’s really a drum machine and a synthesizer. The synth engine is really, really incredible with multiple areas of sound manipulation. The step sequencer is intuitive and responsive. There’s not one thing I can say that’s negative about this synth! It’s perfect.

[100% Analog] This is not just a Drum Machine! High quality build that will stretch your synth sound designing skills. Fills in a part of my Synth capabilities that I didn't know was missing! B&H made the process of ordering painless, not to mention it was on sale!

[0.2 lb / 0.1 kg] I got this Teenage Engineering PO35 Speak Vocal Synth after seeing several demos and reviews on YouTube and was quite impressed. (I also bought the PO33 KO at the same time for the same reason) Now that I've had it 2 weeks I am amazed at what it can do as I am with the KO. This is another addictive little machine. It is a great addition to my entire Synthesizer setup which consists of a Digitone, Moog Matriarch, Hydrasynth, 2 PolyChained Skulpt SE's and Behringer Model D, Neutron, K2 and Pro1. As well as my Gretsch Drum Kit, and Fender Tele and Jazz Bass which I have been sampling sounds from. I have been wanting to add a Synth Sampler but just didn't want something that would take up a lot of space or be too costly especially since I feel Samplers by their very nature are a bit of a novelty and need to be used sparingly. There is quite a bit of sampling power in it and it is quite fun to create new and unique samples. The built in Microphone is surprisingly good quality. 120 seconds of Sample Memory is quite adequate. The 8 Effects are very useful. The Drum Machine Presets are very good quality and the ability to get replaceable drum sounds with Microtonic is a great feature. I do recommend getting a case for it not only to protect it but also a case makes it much nicer to work with as it gives it a better form factor in your hands or on your Workstation. I chose to get a Rev5 case from Dich Studios. The offer them in Color Schemes that match the PO's. and they work with or without the Hangtag Lastly you really can't beat the price for this much technology in a nice small package.

[1500 GB] It's a great sounding drum machine for this price point. Initially I was second guessing if 6 instrument slots would be enough vs buying the more expensive TR-8s with 11 instrument slots but it hasn't been an issue since you can sub the slots out for other instruments. Stock patterns are good starting points. Effects are excellent. Don't forget there's software for it if needing to program much more elaborate patterns. Good feel on the buttons and faders. Slight learning curve but there's a free online course when you register the device with Roland. Overall very happy with this little thing.
