[11 to 52 V] The Shure SM57 is an industry-standard dynamic microphone for a reason. It's versatile, and its durability is unmatched. Vocals, instruments, you name it—this mic delivers fantastic results. The included cable kit is a nice addition, ensuring a quick setup. The cardioid pattern minimizes background noise, making it ideal for both live performances and studio recordings.

[Large Diaphragm] For the price, it's a really good dynamic microphone. While it doesn't hit the lows like a lot of dynamics, it is clear sounding. I would suggest this for a starting podcasting microphone.

[Download] This is a broadcast-style microphone (front address), but it is NOT a dynamic mic. It is actually a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with a BIG sound. You get the absolute clarity and detail you'd expect from a small-diaphragm, but if you run it through a tube-based preamp (UA-610B for example), you also get a warm and full sound. To my ears, the clarity and detail are far superior to the SM7B or the RE20, and depending on your preamp, you can obtain that darker, rich sound of the SM7B (great for podcasting) or you can achieve sonic clarity (great for voiceovers). I personally run mine through a Cranborne EC1 preamp into the PreSonus Quantum 2626 interface and into the Studio One 5 Professional DAW. The EC1 can provide total sonic clarity or add a bit of mojo depending on your taste and needs. The only downside of this mic is that if you're looking for background noise rejection, you'd be better off with a dynamic mic (SM7B, RE20, etc.). This is a condenser mic and it shows in its sensitivity. If you have decent acoustic control over your space, I highly recommend the ETHOS for broadcast, podcasts, streaming, and voiceovers.

[Side Address] This is the best all around cost efficient dynamic microphone ever made. It can handle anything. It is a classic. I tested various microphones, including the U97, and kept comming back to this one.

[Cardioid] We got the Sennheiser XSW 1-835-A UHF Vocal Set with e835 Dynamic Microphone to replace an old, failing Shure wireless system. The Sennheiser was easy to set up, sounds great, and has been flawless with no drops of signal. Would definitely get this one again for our venue. Great value for a good performing and sounding mic.

[0.01 lb] I purchased this to use with my Sennheiser MD46 - Cardioid Handheld Dynamic ENG Microphone and it fits and works perfectly. It eliminates the distracting sounds of wind and the sometimes popping sound in speech. Looks great and works great!
