[Black] I upgraded from my first DSLR the E-410. I am loving the E-620. The menus are slightly different, so I am still finding my way around the camera, but the photo quality is excellent. I am very happy. I used it mostly for nature shots and family - including an active 1 year old. If you are considering upgrading from an earlier olympus model, I would not hesitate.

[0.045 lb] I just found an old Kodak Tourist 620 Camera that had been sitting in my closet for years, only to realize that as great as this camera is, I might not be able to find film for it. Well lucky for me, B&H is not too far from me, and when I went there to see if they had 620 film they sure did. The fact that 120 & 620 are the same size helps, and the 620 they sell is just actually 120 film respooled onto a 620 core. I shot 2 rolls of TriX 620 and it came out great. Thanks to B&H, this old camera can now be used again and again.

[-0.5 to +18 EV] So far it is everything I could want in a DSLR camera

[Battery] I have been a professional photographer/film-maker for 40 years, and am mainly involved in wildlife, macro, portrait and theater photography. Over that time I've tried most of what is available re: camera gear. I must say that the E-620 is the most surprising camera I have used in terms of lightness, adaptability and image quality, especially for the price. Because it was so ridiculously cheap, I bought the 2-lens kit, not really expecting Earth-shattering results. Another surprise. Both lenses yield excellent colour balance; they are remarkably easy to use and extremely quick to focus. Maybe because I am a bit older than I was, I find the larger DSLR's can become tiring to use for long periods. The E-620 is certainly not fatiguing, even when using longer lenses such as the f2 50-200mm. The camera's combination of small size and solid construction also provide a firm, secure grip. You don't have to join the megapixel race to achieve excellent image quality and great-looking, sharp enlargements. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you couldn't do better than to try this superb piece of engineering.

[Daylight] I have an old camera that takes 620 film and the cut down 120 spools don't fit and these do. Have started taking pictures on this roll and am looking forward to getting it finished and developed.

[Lithium-Ion] I bought the E-620 as an upgrade from the E-520 I bought a year ago (and with which I shot 11,000 snaps in the course of a year). So far, I am *very* impressed at the improvements made by a year of development work on Olympus' part. They've obviously been busy, because the E-620 is just a fantastic camera. When I bought my 520, I purchased it with a 12-60mm as my daily walking-around lens. When I got the 620 a couple evenings ago, I pulled it out of the box, stuck my 12-60mm on it, and started snapping pics around inside my house with no flash. I was blown away! The white balance seems vastly improved, and the focus is significantly more accurate in indoor light. The art filters, a feature I had completely ignored in my purchasing decision, turn out to be quite fun to play with. I haven't done a lot of other shooting with it yet, but I expect great things and am very impressed so far. I didn't spend a lot of time researching the 620, in fact I'd almost call it an impulse buy, so I was unprepared for the fact that the right side grip is so much smaller than on the 520. I wish it wasn't. Having said that, I was surprised that, even with my relatively large and heavy lens, I got used to the balance of the new outfit pretty quickly. My very first camera back in the day was a Canon AE-1 Program, and the 620 handles a lot like that camera, so maybe that's why I adjusted so quickly. An hour later, I was completely accustomed to it. But if I think about it, the 520 still fit my hand a lot better. I also wish the 620 used the same 1500mAh battery that the 520 uses!

[1] One of the only places where you can find 620 film, period. Has brought life back into a camera that is over 50 years old. picture quality is superb. great buy with no regrets.

[Purple] I bought this bag to protect my new Olympus E-620 on our next vacation. I don't want to carry around a camera bag so this is great to put on my camera when I'm not using it. It's a perfect fit with both kit lenses.

SLR picture quality in a compact camera body. I'd considered getting a camera like the Canon G11 to have a walkaround camera or one to travel with that produced great picture quality, but not the bulk of an entire SLR system. The EP-1 has exceptional picture quality (equal to my E-620) and with a pancake lens is quite portable. It also has more flexibility with the changeable lenses, and doesn't have the same problem achieving a shallow depth of field that small-sensor point-and-shoots do. I went with the EP-1 over the Panasonic Micro-Four Thirds cameras, because: 1) my E-620 batteries and cables are already compatible 2) The EP-1 can use all of my lenses (with a converter), whereas the Panasonics can AF with only some of the 4/3rds lenses. 3) I like how the JPEGs look from Olympus right out of the camera. Personal preference, but I feel like Panasonic's need more work. Cons are that it's not as small as the high-end point and shoots, and there's no onboard flash. (But I rarely use one anyway, and it works with my FL-36.) One thing I'd HIGHLY recommend getting with the camera is the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake lens. It's excellent and is easily the lens I leave on it most.
