The diminished visibility could lead to serious accidents, potentially resulting in injury. It's not worth the risk, so please exercise caution and use appropriate eye protection for such tasks. [0.07 lb] I purchased these glasses to view the total solar eclipse from Lancaster, NH. The glasses were perfect for viewing. The earpieces hooked over our ears for a snug fit over our eyes. The lenses protected our eyes. I don't have a photo to share, but we're saving our glasses for the next solar eclipse.
