[1] This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |

[Yes (Stereo)] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

[f/2 to 3] It's our first home cinema projector and is meeting or exceeding almost all expectations in terms of quality of picture (not using a screen) and ease of use. One quibble - having trouble connecting Sonos roam speakers via bluetooth. 5 |

[Yes (Mono)] Upgraded from an old Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 640. Love the BenQ! I've been using the Filmmaker mode with Blu-ray dvds (Thin Red Line, No Country for Old Men, In Cold Blood) and they look spectacular. Between the Eco and Smart Eco energy saving modes, I think it's best to stick with regular Eco as the Smart Eco has too many color shifts within the same shot as it's programed to try and compensate between dark/light scenes. A hi-contrast scene will fluctuate the output of the lamp which makes it very distracting. But overall, the contrast is beautiful. The blacks are deep and colors, rich. Very happy with the purchase. Would definitely recommend. 5 |

[Steel, Plastic] Excellent! Had an Epson Home Cinema 3100 I got in 2017. Had replaced the bulb once with a 3rd party bulb, but that was never as bright as the original. It's like a brand new projector again! Worth every penny! 5 |
