Ethernet Plug Splitter

[400 A] Some significant improvements over the standard plastic D-Tap splitter: - The metal housing makes it harder to insert a plug backwards, which may damage your device. Yes, it can be a tighter fit for some 3rd party D-Tap plugs that have looser manufacturing tolerances. The upside is that the plug will not fall out easily. - The braided cable with connector boots reduce cable stress and fraying. - One of the ports is regulated at 12v, which allow for certain accessories that only accept this fixed voltage (thinking of Sony's USB 3.1 AXS card reader). - The blue power indicator LED also helps prevent reverse connection problems if the splitter is plugged in to a power source the wrong way. -Threaded 1/4-20 hole on the bottom can be used to attach a QR plate. An ideal product for film technicians. Recommended.

[0.3 lb] This switch works so well I bought a second one. Plug it in, connect the ethernet cables and it works flawlessly!

[ (70.6 W)] I bought a cheap one off of Amazon and it never worked and this was plug and play. A lot more money than the Amazon splitter I bought but the time I wasted trying to get it to work would of easily paid for this gem of a splitter.

[Aluminum] Hard to go wrong with this splitter. The D-Tap layout is accessible without crowding. I like the status light in the D-Tap plug. The voltmeter is a handy way to check battery status, and the 12V regulator definitely heros. The build quality is great and I think the price is perfect. I'd easily buy two more if I needed them.

[1x VGA Female] Rather than having one plug for a microphone and one plug for headphones, as most people use for laptop connectivity, this Y splitter allows me to connect two audio sources to one speaker and use both simultaneously. It works perfectly for this task. My only comment is that it would be nice to have an eight or ten-inch length option instead of just six inches.

[Cat 6a] Ethernet cables are ethernet cables, but these are fine!

[3.7 in] This is the second receiver I have on their own network. Worked fine. Just plug up an ethernet switch and let the units talk to each other. No router needed for me. Might be buying another one of these critters to hookup to tvs.
