Ethernet Splitter Speed Loss

[Access Point] My office only had one Ethernet port and this bugger gave me 2 ports and made my WiFi signal stronger. My room had decent WiFi coverage but nothing to write home about. My only complaint is that it wasn’t fast out of the box and I had to make some tweaks to get it working nicely with my other ap. It’s no where near as fast as it could be over wifi but the wired speed is perfect which is where it really counts for me. Using iperf3 between router and my computer I plugged into Ethernet I got the same speeds with and without this device in the chain. Over WiFi though itis about a third of the speed after tweaking it. Still working out the bugs but I’m confident it’s a setup error because it kept getting faster as I make little tweaks because when I started it was under 100mbps over iperf3

[3' / 0.9 m] This is what I was looking for to put in my computer bag what wouldn't be so bulky. I did learn something new - because of the new high speed with Ethernet, you have to install it correctly as marked on the plugs because it is a one way direction and will not work if you install it backwards.

[5.0] I bought this after moving into a new apartment and I had a wireless router already installed before moving in. There are no ethernet connections available currently and I was using a older usb 802.11 g/ac adapter to connect to it. After doing a few speed tests I can say that I am getting 4 times the speed with this card than the usb stick. I would say very close to what I was getting with ethernet when I had the service elsewhere. I'm not doing any real heavy intensive online gaming at the moment so I am not worried so much about ping times, but I am getting them in the teens in case anyone is interested. The only drawback I would say is that you need the included cable to be used in order for bluetooth to work, but in my case it isn't necessary, its just that I couldn't play around with it to see if the receiver on the card is better than the one I am using with my bluetooth headset. The reason being because all of my internal usb headers are being used for rgb fans. If you are thinking of buying this card you should just go out and buy it, I don't think you will regret it.
