[ SATA SSD ] Needed a small external hard drive (because of desk size) to use for my Time Machine back up. This works perfectly and was easy to set up.

[USB-A Male] About a year ago, my G-Technology external hard drive stopped working as my time machine backup for my MacBook Pro. I tried all kinds of stuff. Searched the Internet endlessly and boy, there are a lot of people with the same issue. I was debating whether to buy a new drive, but thought I'd try a new cable first. It's expensive, but if it works, it's worth it, and if it doesn't, I'll return it. I'm so glad I gave it a try. I followed the steps in the instructions for hook up and power and it immediately began backing up my machine! I now have three backups from today alone. Thank you StarTech!

[Touch] This is our 12th Macintosh over a period of 33 years, and it is stunningly excellent and useful. The physical design is sleek and attractive, the performance is crisp and consistent, and the display is simply beautiful. Our photo collection has never looked so good! The supplied keyboard is comfortable for both of us, and the mouse is, well, a good mouse. The machine is dead quiet, unless we want music, which sounds the best of any Mac we've ever had, except for the 20th Anniversary Mac with its integrated Bose system. This may be the last of this particular design from Apple, and it is hard to find any shortcomings, other than perhaps a few more USB and Thunderbolt ports. We will be running a Windows system in a VMWARE virtual machine -- so I can play with model railroad software that, sadly, isn't available for the Mac itself. Grudgingly, Intel inside still has some utility here. To this Mac we added a 2TB external SSD to hold our massive photo and music collections, and a 4TB external hard drive for Time Machine backup. Overall, this is an exceptionally fine system and an unbeatable value.

[360°] This device makes a solid state drive (SSD) compatible for a Mac Pro. The hard drive slides that come with the computer only mount 3.5 inch drives. This enables you to take advantage of the new SSD's fast speed and reliability. It comes with four mounting screws so that you can mount your SSD (sold separately).

[USB-C Male] It worked for what I needed. Booting my old MAC as an external hard drive and connecting to my new MAC to transfer GIGs of data was a breeze with this cable.

[1 TB] I bought this drive to replace a rugged La Cie whose ports were going bad. It doesn't have the rubber protection of the La Cie, but it's so small, you can easily slip it into your pocket and protect it like that. It comes with ExFat formatting , which although compatible with Monterey OS, is NOT compatible with Time Machine. So step one: reformat to APFS. Then it works great and can be backed up to Time Machine along with my other drives. If for some reason you decide to keep the ExFat formatting, be aware that it is a data hog, causing your files to take up 1.5 to 2 times more space than APFS requires.

[ 3.5" HDD ] I am a novice when it comes to all things Mac. So I contacted B&H customer service to ask questions about the different external drives. B&H has excellent customer service! The rep said to review the Glyph external drive. So glad he pointed this out to me as it's a great product. Glyph makes it easy to set up Time Machine, which is great for a novice like me. Also, prior to this purchase, I had a LaCie external drive for my Time Machine. It was very noisy. This Glyph is very quiet. I am very pleased with this purchase.
