I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. [6 TB] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to play Xbox but I have always had a problem with the amount of storage the games need to play them. This 3TB gives me more than enough room to download all my games and more. Some of my games are almost 100gb and without the extra external storage it would take up almost hard drive. Hooking the external hard drive up was very easy and just needed to be plugged in directly to the Xbox. The Xbox will recognize it and will be ready to move downloads and store them as needed. The hardrive may look small but 3TB is a very large amount of space! This external hard drive is great quality and I'm pleased how easy set up was with it.

[6.5 lb] I was researching external hard drive storage for my picture and video files. I have a baby boy and need to take a lot of video :) I researched G-drives after a family recommendation and this drive is great! The price per TB is very good, along with the quality of construction, convinced me to pull the trigger and try it out. This is not a portable unit and it is louder than my Lacie and WD external drives, but very fast and looks good on the desk. Don't let the loud statement prevent you from a purchase, because it isn't annoyingly loud. By the way, you can configure raid 1 or 0, but raid 1 gave me 2.2 TB of usable storage.

[Aluminum] I have been needing an external SSD for both storage & video editing. I recently learned about these super portable options from Crucial and decided to take a chance. So far, I am impressed. The amount of time it takes me to edit off the drive seems to have improved. Not to mention, the Crucial pairs nicely with my Lumix ecosystem (S5iiX and the GH6). So I can record hours of ProRes footage straight to the drive, then plug it into my computer and edit right off of it. Looking forward to using this for more projects in the near future!

[1 TB] We have a 500gb External Hard Drive that has been excellent. I'm taking more video so wanted a new one that had more space. Compared to the older 500gb it feels much smaller even though dimensions are roughly the same. TONS of storage.
