[1 x 650 W] This OWC 16TB ThunderBlade RAID drive replaced a 24TB Promise Pegasus RAID and I'm never going back to HDD drives. The Promise could be heard from the other rooms in the house, while the ThunderBlade is completely silent, even when working right next to it on the desk. It's also a LOT smaller. I suggest removing the OWC soft raid software which has caused issues for us in the past. We have the drive formatted as RAID 0 directly in Sonoma 14.3 running on our Mac Studio M1 Ultra. SSDs are a lot more reliable than HDD so I'm more comfortable running these in RAID 0 vs another RAID. However, SSD is not a replacement for a backup, and I have this drive being backed up onto my old HDD once a month.

[8.8 x 6.1 x 3"] Did a lot of research from HDD review websites. This 16TB Exos X18 HDD seems to be the most reasonable choice for now (great price). Not regretting the purchase - with 5 years warranty and so far so good. It is working great on my Synology 918+.

[36 TB] I got this HDD to replace my 5 year old WD Mybook pro. I replace HDD every 5 years and after doing my research this was the winner, I got the 16TB (two 8TB) and I use it on RAID 1 redundancy to protect my wedding photography work.

[0.175 lb] Bought this for a friend whose external HDD failed. This works perfectly and is a much better choice than an HDD.

[8 TB] Large, affordable, fast enough, works great... What else can you wish for the external HDD? Love it!

[2] Seems great! Running two external BD/DVD drives and an external HDD unit without any issues. However, I don't know how well it does power delivery, as all three of those drives are independently powered. The cable is fairly short, but works well for me since it's hidden behind everything.

[11 x 14"] So I have a Western Digital 5TB external HDD hooked up to my Xbox One X and it's probably one of the best purchases I ever made. So my question is: Can I use the WD P50 4TB SSD game drive on an Xbox Series X? I'm thinking about buying it because my Series X only has 1TB with a 1TB storage expansion slot and 2TB is not enough for me. If somebody could help me with this question I will be very grateful. Thank You.

[A2] I moved from sandisk and seagate to transcend a few years ago, and I rarely look back. Their hardware is rugged, dependable, and I've had far less issues with corrupted disks using Transcend products than anything else. During the Great (HDD) Crash of 2016, I lost not one, but three external hard drives worth of backups and external storage. During the Great (HDD) Crash of 2018, I lost a drive halfway through it's expected 4 year lifespan. Thanks, Seagate and Western Digital. I've been using Transcend external hard drives, flash drives, and SD cards (for a dashcam that's proved invaluable and resilient) for the last two years. They've been cheaper and more reliable in my experience than most of the competition. I hope they serve you, too.

[ 3.5" HDD ] Absolute best “ruggedized” external HDD in my limited experience. Much more substantial build than I am used to. Everything on it is top grade and nice looking. Glyph Tech warranty protection is impressive. It comes in at 1340g or 2.95 pounds on a postal scale. As expected, there’s a generic 24W AC wall wart on a 120cm (3' 11) cord, with a noise choke. Mine came with a 16TB SATA 6 Seagate EXOS X16 — a very nice, high-performing 3-1/2 HDD with low noise and notably low vibration. In a fan-less package like this one, they run pretty hot! With no visible heat sink or fins, it does seem to shed heat quite well in normal use. If I planned on heavy video workloads in a warm environment, I’d aim an external fan at it. The wraparound silicone bumper is thick and resilient, not spongey. It’ll soften a sharp shock. It will not soak up G-force from a fall or rough handling, so dropping this drive on the floor might not end well :-/ Handling: you obviously don’t move a spinning enterprise HDD around while it’s running. The package does not want to stand up on edge. It does seem to stay where you put it without creeping around. Stacks securely (don’t know as I’d want to). The bumper has herringbone lugs like a tractor tire, but it’s stretchy and not very grippy— you don’t carry this drive around in one hand.
