[Aluminum] i have used several different Hoodman eyepieces before on different cameras . I am not an eyeglass wearer but like to keep the sun out of my eye when photographing outdoors. Usually I will take off the bigger eyepiece because it gets in the way when trying to view the screen for playback or other things. But this model is perfectly sized to stay put without getting in the way of your view of anything. It is just wide enough to keep out stray light and stay out of your way. Thanks Hoodman. 5 |

[22 mm] What you give up slightly in angle of view, these are super performers for eyeglass folks with the generous eye relief these provide. These easily compete with friends' German glass and are great at color separation duties. Camouflaged animals and birds have subtle tonal differences with their surroundings and these excel at that. Well made and feel like a lifetime rig.... I'm old enough that I could say that about my socks but you get the idea. 5 |

[0.14 lb] I have always been a fan of a blacked out rear so the Trij HD's have been my go to. The new HD XR's do the same thing with the added benefit of a better view of your intended target. [0.22 lb] I purchased the Vixen Flip Mirror Diagonal for Astrophotography, therefore, I needed to also buy some accessories. Thanks to fellow reviewer, I was able to get all the accessories at the same time as the mirror. My setup: Celestron EdgeHD 11 - Tele Vue Schmidt-Cassegrain Adapter-Long - Vixen Flip Mirror - T-Mount for Canon EF-M Canon Camera. On the upper tube of the mirror: Vixen #37292 T-Thread to 2 Eyepiece Adapter 2 Celestron 29mm eyepice. 5 |
