[0.955 lb] I really love this lens. It's lightweight, and the fixed focal length just feels so natural to use. It's an all around great little lens, especially considering the price.

[37 mm (Front)] While this lens is not as good as a fixed focal length lens from a quality standpoint, it excels in other ways; including, its size and flexibility. Image quality is fine for a zoom.

[5 x 4 x 0.6"] This makes switching lenses so easy. I prefer fixed focal length lenses to zoom. Very quick and safe to change lenses.

[f/11] Yeah, I get that it's a fixed focal length, fixed f8 aperture, manual focus, no stabilization lens, donut bokeh . . . BFD. It's total fun and it makes you take pictures like we did back in the 60's and 70's - when there was no auto-focus, no auto exposure, no nothin'. It's a blast and a blast from the past and it will make you a MUCH better photographer. That's why I gave it 5 stars. It's so much better than all the other mirror (catadioptric) lenses on the market (Opteka, Rokinon, et al) and even the prehistoric (super-heavy) Nikkors out there. Oh, it does have a HUGE PLUS - it's super compact and light and pretty darn sharp for what it is - just use a tripod or other bracing device. Get one, just for the fun of it. It will make you feel young again !

[f/22] I've needed the focal length of 70-200 for a while, and have typically been brand loyal. The sticker price of the Canon was way beyond my expenses, so I went with the Tamron. This lens is fantastic. So far I have used it on a handful of projects and it preforms beautifully. It's very fast, the images are extremely crisp and it performs exceptionally in low light environments. Moving forward, I'll start looking at Tamron for any lens to add to my arsenal. Their equipment is terrific and performs just as well as any Canon, Nikon or Sony lens.

[0.205 lb] I've paired this both with my Canon 6D and 50D and works well with either camera. The optimum combination is supposed to be 500mm and f8, but the images are sharp enough for viewing on my iMac retina display at any combination of f stop and focal length. You can take hand help pix (I need to use my wrist brace for arthritis), but I would suggest at least a monopod for any length of time. Tighten the plate with an allen key, as it was too loose with just hand tightening. The hoodie lens hood cover (size XL, not the L as stated in the accessories) fits well and once you try this lens with the lens shade you will see why the hood cover is essential. Other than size and weight, I think you could easily replace the Canon 70-300 lens (not the L) with this lens for that focal distance and have an equivalent picture. Sweet choice for anyone wanting to do wildlife photography.

[1.235 lb] For the Canon M50 this is a great choice for portrait work. Offering a focal length of 80MM at f/1.2 opens up a fun optic for this use. Easy to focus and use I see it as the missing lens in Canon's own lens offering. They have a 35mm f/1.4 which is equal to 50mm lens but still a little short for portrait work. At the price the TTArtisan is a great value.

[77 mm (Front)] The Sigma 28mm’s build quality is on another level when compared to some of the earlier Art lenses. Everything from the internal and external weather sealing, newly designed lens hood, and the overall Global Vision design. From a resolution standpoint, this lens is incredible! Auto focus for the most part is good on my Canon 5DS R. The lens did require some adjustments, and the auto focus can be quirky at times. I look forward to eliminating these issues with a Canon full frame mirrorless camera. Although an entirely different focal length, it compares well to Canon’s 35mm f/1.4 ii. Overall, the Canon has the better focus performance (DSLR) and slightly better image quality due to the Blue Spectrum Optics. With that being said, the Sigma 28mm Art is a great lens with a very useful focal length. If at times 24mm seems a bit wide and 35mm isn’t wide enough, and you want one of the very best, then Sigma’s 28mm prime lens will complement your kit as it does for me.
