Flash Diffuser Light Softbox

[0.485 lb] The mounting hole for the flash is approximately 3 x 2 1/4. A number of rubberized strips keep the the mounting tabs from slipping once you have secured the softbox to your flash with the elasticized band. The inner diffuser is built into the softbox, so you will never misplace it. 8 is a good size for carrying in your camera bag. Of course, a larger diffuser would provide even softer light, but it would also be heavier than the 2.4 oz this item weighs. I am happy with my purchase, and would recommend this item to anyone looking for a light-weight, portable softbox.

[2.565 lb] This softbox is quick to set up and collapse. My initial experience has been very good. Everything fits into the included carry case, all you need to add is your flash and a light stand. There is an internal white diffuser in addition to the second, larger diffuser.� The baffle attaches with velcro, so you can set up to either use it or not. The bracket holds the flash well and will be useful for use with other Bowens compatible accessories.

[Clear] Works well as a flash diffuser.

[White on White] A diffuser is an absolute must if you work with flash photography. Flash light can be very harsh and contrasty and will give your photos that ugly tourist snapshot look. Adding a diffuser softens the light considerably, giving your subjects a more pleasing look. Combine the diffuser with bouncing the flash off the wall and your pictures will come out even better.

[6.5 x 5 x 1.5"] I have to admit that I was skeptical of this light, but after testing and using it in a few real world photo shoots, I have to admit that I really love it. As a portrait photographer, Im usually looking for a soft, diffused light source, and I like to work my lights close to the subject. Using the full configuration with the softbox and front diffuser, I was able to produce some really beautiful, soft, even light. Having the light source going edge to edge is great, as opposed to most lights that have the bulb or array in the center, with the light falling off at the edges.  The ability to adjust color temperature is great for mixing and matching in complex lighting situations. You can remove the diffuser and softbox to create a very different quality of light, depending on what youre shooting. Setup is really simple Its lightweight and a breeze to transport and use on location.  Very nice!

[Foldable] If you are one of those people who get frustrated when needed to collapse these type of 1X1 softboxes, well, this one will make you REALLY happy. It is actually a JOY to open and collapse. Time it takes to fold away: 3 seconds on the clock, AND, I'm talking about still keeping the rods and diffusers ON so next time you open, it's all there, ready to flap open and start shooting! It actually pops. I made a review of the Timpani 2. Fast forward the video to the 21:54 mark to watch how to fold it. This softbox fits the Timpani 1 and 2 like a glove. It provides a nice soft light. This softbox comes with 1 diffuser and don't forget that the Timpani also has a diffuser, giving you two layers of diffusion with the softbox installed. Like any softbox you buy, you need a grid to control light spill. I use grids a lot when shooting in small rooms and many other reasons. The material is sturdy and the price is unbelievably affordable and so is the grid (sold separately). Keep the white diffuser as clean as possible, wash your hands before touching and it will give you a very accurate color every time. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[1.2 lb] I have this cobbled onto a Generay Mini-Moon with the optional egg crate. I found the Mini-Moon's build-in diffuser was not adequate for my lighting application. It is not the intended use of this softbox, of course, but it works superbly for this, the 8 distance from the light to the scrim really helps the LED panel a lot, and it is still plenty bright through this. This would add a much nicer light quality to a variety of small LED lights. It was a fine value here at B&H.  Like most collapsable softbox/diffuser products I have encountered, am not sure how many collapse/deploy cycles they would realistically stand up to. It takes a lot of force on some very thin fabrics to fold it back up and then stretch it out again. Long term durability concerns aside, the little magnetic standoffs here are clever, it deploys super-fast, and it fits into a small bag. This is a great product if you want to improve the light quality on a LED panel, and it helped me tremendously with my small studio space where the light is closer to the subject than I would ideally want it.

[Yes] Compact, sturdy, collapsible and produces a beautiful light. It can be used also a softbox with the diffuser in front so you have 2 modifiers instead of one. Since I got it I always carry with me since is so small when folded.

[Yes] This is a well constructed softbox. I like the large size. The diffuser panel inside helps disperse the light. I use it on an old White Lightning 10,000 strobe. It's a bit heavy on this unit, but works ok.
