[0.23 lb] This is a great compact light. The inspection beam is very precise and the strip of LED's on the side are extremely bright and light up your entire work space. The magnet in the pocket clip is perfect for hands free use.

[Yes] This is my first LED light. I wanted it as a second always on, off camera, light to my flash. It works great. I am not a professional, but it works great for my creative needs.

[Fabric, Steel] This light really fills in the gap for night photography and that is where its subtlety lies. In night photography I would do long exposure at high ISO, 3200 or 6400. The issue with using other light is the intensity is too high out of the box. Using a flash bring light that is harsh and difficult to control the intensity since most of the time I am shooting wide open and it is the f-stop that primary control flash exposure so I would have to adjust the intensity on the flash unit which many will not output super low power. Other LED, the issue with other LED is that between 0 - 1 is not a gradual value, it is a rather intense on or off and on even at 1% for many of the portable light with build in battery is still too intense for night photography. This light is perfect because you can go in and control the intensity between 0-1% using the mobile app which is free and it is paired with bluetooth. This is especially helpful if you put in alight in a location where it is difficult to get to or high where you can't reach it, the app just enable quick and easy control of the light. More so you can pair multiple lights and control them independently without having to leave your camera which is more helpful than not when you photograph at night where everything is dark. A few more things about the light, it comes with it own LED output report that shows the color temperature tracking across various color temperatures - deviation, CRI, TLCI, Lux vs Kelvin, and gamut. All good things to know about your individual light. Lastly, this kit comes with everything that you'll need to get you going, with the light, the grid to limit the lightning angle - spread, stand and ball head. [4x LED] Measuring a mere 6 inches long and weighing a few ounces the Pelican 3315 LED flash light is a heavy weight when it comes to performance. The LED throws a bright narrow beam surrounded by a less bright broad sphere of light. The unit take three AA batteries. The back of the flashlight has to be unlocked (with a small tipped screwdriver) to reveal the battery compartment. The back comes off with a mighty twist in the direction of the arrow that is clearly marked on the top of the unit. The on off switch is logically located toward the front of the flash light and a lanyard cord is included. The flashlight is almost indestructible. Be sure to replace batteries often enough so they do not leak into the unit. The flashlight is water resistant, not water proof, take care to apply a light coat of clear silicone grease on the o-ring occasionally.

[Passive] This is the first time I tried using LED on camera lighting in place of a flash. What a difference. So far I've only played with the light, so getting used to proper settings for both me and the subject is a work in process. I did have an early complaint from the subjects that the light was too bright and the color harsh. The complaints went away when I dialed down the power and changed the color temp. Looking forward to using it when I shoot larger group events. Just wish I had had it before doing an 80th birthday party.

[0.43 lb] This flash light is a mid size between the D-cell and the AA minimag. The LED offers great light for its size. On and off are achieved by twisting the head just like the older minimag flashlight. Its not too big to fit in your pocket but it's just big enough not to loose. And the price seems very reasonable
