[0.115 lb] I bought the 2' Nanlite Tube and was amazed by it. I wanted to get another one and saw this light for under $100 so made the purchase. It's a great light and throws a good amount of light for its size. I like to use the 2' tube light as my key and backlight with this 10" tube - makes a wonderful and easy setup that's perfect for travel gigs. The battery life is also pretty good. You can easily get a good interview or two out of it without needing to use a stinger. And for product shots it's excellent with the RGBWW - It's easy to operate when you need to hand it to a person that doesn't have any video experience. Great on run and gun jobs. Same applies for the 2' Tube Nanlite. Overall I would recommend. I also use this light for things outside of video production. It's just very handy. It's brighter than you expect and is very soft where I don't need any more diffusion. Makes the travel bag lighter and easier to get the shots quickly. 5 |

[0.715 lb] Works as advertised! It's responsive and easy to use. My only minor complaint is the flashing blue light which can be a little annoying in a dark venue But, I realize there has to be some way to know that it's on 5 |

[ 45 Hours] This flashing is amazing. The variable light settings to the strobe. No concerns on purchasing the light at all. I would love to give one to every person in my family. BUY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!! 5 |

[Rectangle] I own or have owned every light known to man. (ok, slight exaggeration). I currently have the Gemini Soft, Gemini Hard. and Kino Freestyle LEDs of a variety of sizes. Never mind Apurtures and Nanlites plus a few of them lightweight flexible led panels. But when I need a fast and simple setup, I always got back to these Astra Softs. And when I look at the image, I wonder why I went and bought all those other expensive fixtures. Just today I shot a multicamera interview for ABC's new show Impact with the U.S Attorney investigating the Matthew Perry case and because going thru security was so complicated and time was of essence, I chose to bring these lights instead. I loved the picture to much I wondered to myself why I keep buying these way more expensive fancy lights. And the beauty of these is that I can fly them with a micro 150 battery and because I rarely have to turn them up all the way, they will last the length of some of these long interviews no problem. I did notice on this thread some folks complaining about these lights failing them, and have heard similar complaints from other Astras too. I have never had any issues with these or my other Astras, but that's likely because I read the instructions that clearly state you should dim the lights all the way down before you turn them on, wait until the flashing green light stops flashing, and then dim up at your heart's desire. And always before I turn them off, I dim them down all the way, as not to forget. That might be the secret. I see people using them wrong all over the place. 5 |

[Lead-Acid] I bought this a month ago when the battery died (I unfortunately did not notice the low battery flashing light indicator). The replacement battery arrived very promptly, was easy to install, and my backup is operational again — and just in time because a tornado hit here a few days later and I lost power for 8 hours. 5 |

[1000D Cordura] Great size, love the built in light (it has flashing mode for some reason, just if you need to give someone a seizure on a film set?) I have always wanted this Porta Brace bag but kept talking myself out of it. I finally pulled the trigger on buying one and I'm glad I did. Sometimes I have a small lens in it if i am shooting an event with a smaller camera, but on a full set I kit it out with all the tools I'll need. for camera department. If you are on the fence about it, do it. 5 |

[1.585 lb] I was playing with this thing over the weekend - using the sound activation, the lightning mode (by quickly flashing a light at it) and the laser (a light shining on it that has a shadow passed over is enough to trigger it if sensitivity is turned up). What a fun tool - can trigger the camera, and a flash with a cable. Everything worked perfectly. Looking forward to a thunderstorm to do an actual lightning capture - the main reason I bought it. 5 |
