[83° to 23°] The 16-50 that often comes with Sony alpha cameras is a perfectly decent lens, so I was hesitate to spring for a lens that cost three times as much. I am very glad I did because it is a major upgrade, especially in feel and everyday use. The extra length makes it extra useful. Don't expect a major improvement in image quality because the cheaper lenses are fine. This one is just extra nice.

[8 Ohms] Although affordable, the fits, finishes, appearance, and workmanship are exceptional for any price. After about a 20-hour break-in the sound transforms into a sound quality that rivals the very high-end professional models. Focal is definitely driving their best technology down into the models obtainable by mere mortals. The near-field tuning is the best I've heard at any price such that the voice or instrument heard from the sweet spot is a living presence that materializes in the middle of your head. A truly wonderful experience. It has a very accurate and detailed sound, including a surprising amount of bass and distortion-free treble. I was initially concerned I may need a woofer, but it is not necessary due to the strong bass profile. In fact, I barely have to touch the EQ since the default tuning is truly based on studio experience. I was also concerned that the Alpha 50 has fewer watts of output than the Alpha 60, but the Alpha 50 has more than enough power such that I can't even get the volume of my pre-amp over the 9 o'clock position. One of my best B&H purchases of all time!

[10] As I began upgrading my YouTube studio, I was going to add another Sony Alpha based on my previous experience with earlier models. I have had this in service for several weeks and have had a good experience with it. Had to change a few settings for such things as clean HDMI, etc but other than that, I have been very pleased. This is a good camera to look at whether is for your first or third camera.

[4.35 lb] I just purchased a pair of these for my son who started producing EDM over the past couple years. I've owned Events, JBL's and have also used a number of other studio monitors (Yamaha, KRK, Mackie). Currently I own Focal CMS65's. These Fluid Audio's hold up very well. I haven't spent a ton of time in front of them, but so far I'm extremely impressed. Side-by-side my Focal's, the high end was virtually indistinguishable. Since the Fluid's have a larger low end driver, they produce noticeably more bass. The bass sounds pretty tight and solid for an 8 driver. The build seems solid... they don't feel cheap and they have plenty of power. If anyone is looking for budget monitors under $700... or even $1000, you owe it to yourself to audition these. I don't think there's much, if anything, that can compete in their price range. Considering the price, quality, and sound, my early rating is 5 stars. Haven't found anything to complain about beyond a lack of frequency tuning... but I haven't found that to be a big deal if you're in a halfway decent/treated room.

[0.01 lb] Went ahead and grabbed this plus the 50-135 shortly after they were both released and all don't regret it at all. I saved this review until I got at least 100 hours out of the lenses and here I am- and have not been disappointed. Incredibly sharp, hits critical focus points and holds them, the ease of swapping lenses without moving gears around is beautiful, the macro is amazing and incredibly useful, and being par focal is something that really takes these over the top. Obviously, they aren't going to compare to some other high-end zoom lenses, but when they're 1/3 of the price, with 2 lenses covering focal lengths of 3-4 other lenses, worth every penny.
