Focal Shape 65 Studio Monitor

[2] I bought an extra charger for my Shape bp-u 65 batteries as a back up. The LCD feature is useful. My FX6 will not run out of juice!

[ Subwoofer] I tried 3 different subs over the last year to blend with my Focal Shape 50s. I didn't want to buy the Sub6, as it would't quite be a good fit for my space, so I tried other brands. None of them blended well and I ended up returning them. It took a little while to find the optimal phase adjustment, which I did by using a spectrum analyzer with a very slow response. The crossover ended up being 60Hz, which gives me a very smooth extension down to about 35Hz or so, allowing me to hear the sub frequencies and lowest notes of kick, bass and other instruments. They blend very well with the Shape 50s. It is worth mentioning that bass trapping is highly recommended, particularly when using a SUB. I also have Sonarworks to compensate for some residual room modes.

[Adaptive-Sync] Crisp, clear screen. Beautiful display. Watching football on my 65" TV at the same time as watching another game streaming on this monitor. The monitor actually looked better than the TV. No lag when gaming. Everything you could ask for.

[Aluminum] So much easier than the other monitor mount by Matthews. It’s lightweight strong and I have a 65 inch Tv on a Matthews roller stand. Works perfectly.

[-10 dB] The NEUMANN U 87Ai is a studio microphone with outstanding performance and an attractive shape. NEUMANN microphones are the best. This company has almost 90 (ninety) years of experience in the manufacture of microphones. Truly amazing.

[Aluminum, Steel] I’ve been working in the industry for a few decades and now Shape offers to have studio products with this beautifully finished bridgeplate and dovetail. I was really attracted to it because of their pricing with regards to the quality of it.  It’s way less expensive than other ARRI standard products out there, they also added a flat screwdriver tool at the back of the main plate, brilliant idea! I use it with my Alexa and RED cameras. Rock solid! I recommend all the way!
