Foot And A Half Plastic Drawers

[0.325 lb] Super clever, way better than the plastic foot connected to a clamp, I love this.

[0.35 lb] Half a dozen charges in, and I have not had any issues.

[Steel] Half the price as the same Matthew product and just as durable.

[8] The plastic is actually a lot more durable than I expected. I had to use a hammer to install it on my C-stand and the foot didn't get a scratch on it. Definitely seems to do the job.

[1.2 lb] I find these mounts to be essential for working with the 4 foot length Pavo tubes/quasars. The plastic light holders with the baby pins that are included with the Nanlite Pavo tubes are total junk. Their plastic latch commonly pops open which risks damaging the light. This amount can be oriented in all three directions and securely clamps tube lights into position with zero chance of dropping it.

[0.325 lb] Much better than putting all the tension at the flash's foot, especially if you are a Sony shooter and have to deal with a fragile plastic foot!

[Yes (Included)] This is my favorite softbox! I use it more than 90% of the time. It assembles quickly. This is a replacement for my original I bought 1 1/2 years ago. I admit I am rough on my eqpt and it did last over 200 shoots getting bounced around in my eqpt bag to every shoot. It concentrates the light mostly on my subject without too much spillover on my background. I sometimes have other lights on my background and I do not want it washed out by my key light. This softbox is somewhere between my 3 foot and 4 foot octagon softboxes as far as size. My only fault with this softbox is that the plastic ends of the frame come off too easy and then the metal frame will eventually poke thru the fabric of the softbox. My fix for this one is to tape the plastic ends on the frame that go into the fabric so they don't come off.

[Aluminum] This is a well designed and manufactured tripod foot. I was considering between Kirk and RRS and I went for Kirk because the knob design does not include a brass washer where it contacts the foot and happy with my choice. On the RSS LCF models, I find that the knob sometimes gets very tight and takes a lot of force to loosen and I blame the brass washer. CNC work is very good. Let's say it's at the same level as the best. Lever button which release the lock on the lens is well designed and locks with a satisfying click. You can't see it in the photo, but the button is shaped to stay flush with the foot profile, so you cannot see the button sticking out from the side. The only reservation I had was the plastic logo that sticks onto the foot. I would have preferred a laser engraved logo. My experience with these plastic logo is that it yellows out after years of use and may even drop out. But after mounting it on the lens, I don't notice it anymore.
