[Download] Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us. 5 |

[10 oz (286 g)] This thing worked great. This is just what I needed to get my screen up and another screen to my projector up at the same time in my sanctuary. This was great. 5 |

[14.1 oz / 400 g] This screen assembles easily and can be done by one person. A great pairing with the Aaxa P6X projector. 5 |

[8 A (Operating)] I have an Amaran 300c and wanted a fresnel, so naturally I went with Aputure's Fresnel 2x and barndoors. While the Fresnel 2x isn't terrible, the flood to spot range isn't as big as I wanted and there's a harsher light transitioning from light to shadow. Not to mention the barndoors have to be purchased separately for the fresnel. I've wanted to try Nanlite's fresnel for a while now since it's known to have wide compatibility with other brands' lights and is cheaper, especially since it comes with both the fresnel and barndoors. I've researched online a lot to see if anyone has experience with the Amaran + Nanlite fresnel combo, but the results are little and not promising, so I've finally decided to pull the trigger and test it out myself. After testing, I can say this is one of the best decisions I've made. The flood is wide and the spot is narrow, and the transition from light to shadow is smooth. Not to mention this will be a better long term investment since it can used on much higher output lights like the Nanlite 720 unlike the Fresnel 2x that can only be used on lower output lights. What a versatile and great piece of gear. This makes me wanna invest in more Nanlite products. 5 |
