[Black] I had been printing shipping labels on sticker paper, which would never line up to the top edge, so I had to cut them out of the middle of the paper. It was a pain and a waste. Now I press print and the QL-1100 is all like, "I got this" and shoots it out in two seconds. It was super easy for me to set it up. I have a Dell computer. I'm not technically savvy and it was a snap. I love, love, love this printer. I had been on the fence about buying a thermal printer, and I'm kicking myself for waiting this long.

[Inkjet] Ink bottle jet printer is a great value if you don't need sheet feed, printing both sides and fast printing. I have two of these. One is next to my HP Office printer with all the bells & whistles. And then there is this humble bottle printer that does my mass printings in regular and legal size paper. I have printed at least two reams of paper with full color, since I bought it (recently) and the ink level has move just a little. I just bought a second one for my micro office set-up at my girlfriend's house. A great value if you are comfortable with slow printing and no bells etc.

[1.985 lb] Nuff said! Solid, cool looking bottles. The dark bottle is better than clear glass for developing chemicals.

[Acrylic] I needed a larger printing frame, fast, for a cyanotype project I'm working on. The sheet of plate glass and foam pad I was using didn't create enough pressure for a sharp contact print. I'm glad I found this frame! I was pleased with the price and relieved it was in stock. It arrived the next day and didn't need any alteration before I started using it. I'm not an expert on glass composition, but the glass provided with the frame is clear (as expected) and cyanotypes expose at a speed comparable to times I get with a sheet of low iron glass I have in a smaller frame. The rubber feet are a welcome addition that makes it easier to pick up this substantial frame. It creates plenty of pressure to keep the negative in contact with a sheet of sumi-e paper (which can be slightly wavy) and yields sharp prints.

[16.55 lb] I haven't used this contact printing frame yet, but it's a low tech item and should work just fine. The frame itself is sturdy and nicely built; Photographer's Formulary is a no-nonsense, capable outfit. No reason it shouldn't perform well and last many years. My only caveat with this type of printer is Newton rings. This happens when the glass from the frame and the negative are in direct contact. The frame assures the negative will have firm contact with the printing paper, a must for contact prints. As long as the glass pane of the frame doesn't make Newtonian contact with the negative, it should work out OK. Time will tell.
