I love these glass stands; I purchased two of them, one for a computer, and one for an additional monitory, and they were incredibly easy to assemble and set up on my desk. They are very sturdy, no shifting, tilting, or anything that would detract from their function. Additionally, the clear glass makes it possible to see things that may have slid under the computer or monitor, and to help you see what you are doing when you plug your computer in to a power source. The glass does not detract from any color scheme you may have; it just sort of disappears from one's awareness except for remembering its great functionality! I have post-its and other small office supplies on the glass that holds my computer, so I can slide the keyboard underneath when I am not working on the computer. I use the other stand for an oversize monitor, and can keep desk items both on the glass stand and underneath it as well.These stands have really helped me to maximize my work surface. [4.605 lb] I bought this for a computer / standing desk that needed a smaller surge strip on top (I'm still using a basic Furman for that) but wanted more power protection before it. This unit is remarkably robust and I suspect it will be solid.
