[Aluminum] The Godox LR120 Bi-Color LED Ring Light (12, Black) has made a big difference in my videos. Now I get the right intensity, the right color, and the right angle. Couldn't be happier. Thanks, B&H for your great website and customer service.

[Shoe Mount] First, I want to say that I have had no issues like a couple of the reviews have stated with regards to the mounting ring. It mounts securely to the filter adapter ring (which is a slip on fit, not threaded like one review mentions), and the flashes themselves can be positioned in any of the 24 locking detents by releasing with the push buttons, moving to the new location and letting it snap into place. I have attached a photo of them in a non-balanced position to show them locked in place. I have to think the two reviews that mention this have installed their mounting ring incorrectly. The flashes are responsive and work great with any Godox wireless trigger, and can be set to manual or TTL, and biased with flash exposure compensation for each flash. In my limited testing with them so far, the flashes have fired every time, with good power and repeatable exposure. The built-in diffusers help a bit, but they are still fairly small light sources. As such, you will probably want to rig up some extra diffusion for the best lighting. Overall, given the price of the kit, the ease of repositioning flashes and the quality of light, it's really hard to beat. Most macro flashes of this type are significantly more expensive and also more cumbersome due to the wired nature. This can also integrate seamlessly into your other Godox lights, which can be great if using another flash for a background light or rim light. I wish the native diffusers were a little larger, and perhaps that the batteries were replaceable, as you may be stuck in the field if you run out of battery, though the battery life is quoted to be pretty good. However, for the price it's hard to nitpick.

[5900K] Was looking for a replacement for the Metz Mecablitz ring light that was discontinued. This macro ring flash from Godox actually far exceeds the Mecablitz. It's the perfect ring flash if you are looking for a new, inexpensive unit. Can't recommend enough!

[5500K] I read a lot of reviews for ring lights and I was interested in learning how many stops of light the Godox would give me in indoor ambient lighting conditions while shooting macro. Godox does not provide a brightness rating in lumens and comparing different ring lights is next to impossible because the brightness specifications are not standardized. The Godox gave me three extra stops of light today inside the house and I'm thrilled. Outside in direct sunlight it will help to fill shadows. I'm ready to shoot some bug pics at 1 to 1 magnification when spring finally comes. The Godox 72 will work best with 1.5 volt lithium batteries. This unit will not disappoint when shooting macro.

[5/8" Receiver] Works great for my Godox speed ring adapter. Really stabilizes whatever I'm placing on a light or c-stand.

[Plastic] As Godox started to spend more money on marketing and compete with the big boys, the value for their increased price is slowly diminishing. This is where Geekoto steps in and they need our support to fill this market void. After a month of use, I find it just as good as my Godox products. Below are the pros and cons that Geekoto should pay attention to. Pros: - Good build quality, not worried to throw this thing around. Would like to see how much replacement bulb cost as that is the only fragile item in the entire kit. - Value!! 50 watts more power, smartly designed pistol grip with umbrella & light stand holes, Bowens mount adapter, and magnetic light modifier kit included in the base price. This kit would cost near $500 with Godox AD200pro roundhead kit. - Color accuracy is on par with other popular strobes in the market. - The sliding on/off switch, so no press and hold to turn on the light. - The pistol grip is very innovative, smooth adjustments and clever screw system for light stand when not in use. - Compatibility with godox system. Cons/improvements: - Slightly larger than expected. Wish the length and width were smaller for better portability. - TTL +/- does not work or show on screen when using a godox trigger. Asking Geekoto for a software update to resolve this. - Bownes mount design is nice but the tightening screw stands out bit much and if you are using a heavy softbox, I would feel more comfortable using a bracket like Godox S2, so all the weight is not on the pistol grip connector. - Recycle time at full power is slightly longer than similar godox lights.

[Strip] Softbox adapter allows me to use my godox and possibly my sp systems monolights with, they are simply a ring that changes one thing into another simple.

[Modeling Light] I use the Godox MF12 macro flash system. This is the ring that mounts to the lens and then the flashes mount to it. I had an idea to modify this ring to mount a diffusion piece in front of it, so I needed more of these rings, just in case I messed up the ring that came with my flash system. This piece is built well and my modification works flawlessly.

[Metal] Ring made of steel, a magnet sticks to it, so it is well made. Looks identical to the original fittings for Speedotron flash head & cover. When used it matches perfectly to my Cheetah, Multidome, & Calumet softboxes & also matches to the Speedotron flash head. Quality product at decent price. My Speedotron 1200 pack purchased in 1975, still works, used with Vivitar optical slave & Godox AD200 with Godox trigger. Power with Speedotron, control with Godox. Yes I recommend the Fotodiox ring insert.
