Gold Paper Shred

[Handheld Only] If you just want to sit quietly in a house full of people who don't want to hear you shred get this.

[Matte] I have a exhibition coming soon and have been showcasing my images on Gold Fibre Silk to critical reviewers and I must say that the paper shows extremely well. It has nice weight and reproduces black and white really well.

[25x Sheet Paper] Been using this paper since they stopped making the Gold Fibre Silk. Ilford is the only brand I use for my printing purposes and it has been phenomenal for either color or B&W prints. Not the cheapest but my trusted go to paper.

[Yes] Like others, I tried this as a replacement to the Gold Fiber Gloss and it has become my favorite paper for both B&W as well as color prints. The color and tonality are very pleasing. Nice thickness and it’s acid free which is great for archival purposes. Tried other papers and always come back to Ilford.

[0.645 lb] After Fibre Gold Silk was no longer available I decided to try the gloss. This paper has beautiful black and white tones and a very nice surface. Just may become my favorite paper.

[Magnetic] I purchased both the 10mm and 11mm Artisans and found the 11mm definitely sharper when comparing lettering at 400% on a calendar in a room shot, however at 4 inches the 10mm was amazing. Purely by accident while shooting tests with the 10mm with the Lumix S1r I focused the camera on a pad of paper I had written notes on in pencil. Along side of the pad were 8 or so new Dixon pencils with gold stamped lettering all sitting on a dining room table cluttered with computers etc. At f8 with the lens so close the background dropped beautifully, but what astounded me was the detail of the lead pencil writing on the paper the the gold leaf stamping on the pencils. Photo had Color, contrast and even a bit of micro detail in the paper texture and writing. Based on this and other tests, this is a great lens for very closeup experimental work. Colors are accurate and vibrant. Lens is seemingly well corrected for this type of work with Capture one correcting purple fringes. For room shots and sharpness stick with 11mm unless you need the extra angle.

[25x Sheet Paper] I came to this paper on the demise of gold fiber silk, and was not disappointed. Great vibrancy with colors and it's outstanding with B&W.

[290 gsm] I was forced into the gold fiber gloss, having used gold fiber silk and really liking the paper. Unfortunately the silk was discontinued. so I bought the gloss and have been very pleasantly surprised. Excellent color reproduction. this paper has the closest rendition of my digital files in both color and black and white. The surface reminds me of a traditional glossy photo paper that has been air dried and not fereotyped. the gold fiber gloss is a beautiful paper that gives excellent results a go to paper for fine art beautiful images.

[95%] This paper is VERY similar (if not identical) to Ilford's Gallery Gold fibre Silk I have used for years. Actually, even though Hanamuhle provides a suitable profile (for my Epson 9800), I still prefer to use the Ilford supplied profile as it more closely matches the results using the Ilford branded paper. Beautiful surface and a substantial weight at 310 GSM. Only problem with this thickness paper, is it remains somewhat curly if left on the roll for long periods of time.

[8 x 6 x 1"] Ilford is considered the gold standard for a reason. My absolute favorite photo paper, and so much better then the alternatives. Ilford is also so simple to develop, and easy to use at home. I think Glossy looks best, but I have also used Matte with good results!
