Gooseneck Mic Stand

[1.64' (0.50 m)] My keyboard stand has a mic boom attachment, but I needed a way to extend it upwards to provide more clearance. I tried a straight extension, but because the boom is angled backwards, it also moved everything further away, requiring me to add a gooseneck to make up the difference. The result was hideous. The angled extension instantly solved the problem. The boom is now higher, and no gooseneck is needed. Hooray!

[3200 to 5600K] We use this stand with a Raya 10 ring light, and it is the perfect stand to hold this light. The arm of the stand is of gooseneck-like construction and allows easy placement of the light, and the base is heavy enough to keep the light from tipping over. Recommended!

[Steel] The Auray MSGN-6 Desktop Gooseneck Mic Stand is great for desktop use, or any other flat, stable surface of any finish. It also has a die cast heavy base and features padding under so it won’t scratch your furniture. Upon unboxing and setting it up for the first time (most people don’t know) the gooseneck piece, as you try to bent it for the first time, especially the super short ones, this one being just 6”, you will hear a cracking noise as you bend it. It’s almost like a chiropractor adjusting your spine...This is normal and only happens ONCE. After that, you can adjust it to any position and silently. The gooseneck top accepts anything 3/8” you might want to install. Can be any other mic holder you like, other than the included mic holder to accommodate a variety of mics, wide and narrow such as USB mics, any mic, including short shot gun mics, or even a digital recorder or whatever else that is no heavier than a standard mic that has a 3/8 thread or mount. Another great thing about it, when you screw in the gooseneck piece and the mic holder that comes with it, it stops threading exactly where it should. Perfectly aligned and straight, not slightly off sideways, ready for the mic. What else could I say? It’s an all metal piece, holds your mic well, its flexible, adjustable and doesn’t take a lot of space on your desk. Pretty nice stand! [Black] Excellent suppression of RF noise. Plugged the filter into the gooseneck microphone and into the mic base and the cell phone noise ceased. Placed a few more downstream as well. What a difference!

[3/8"-16] These adapters let you stick a mic clip or gooseneck on the end of anything with a 3/8 bolt. Keep a couple on hand! I like these ones particularly because they are well made (clean threads) and being brass, they won't rust.
