[Gold] I needed a proper way to convert and feed a pro level XLR audio out of a powered portable PA speaker / mixer main line out to a RCA input of my assistive listening transmitter in a Church for my hard of hearing folks that for some reason only has a RCA input jack. I never had any luck with those simple adapters or a cable with a XLR on one end and a RCA on the other! To do it right I needed to not only convert the jacks but also convert the impedance. This is a quality very well built product featuring top rated Neutrik brand RCA and XLR jacks in a nice aluminum enclosure and an impedance matching transformer that allowed me to properly convert the signal. Yes, this is more expensive than the other simple adapters but I wanted pro results and pro results is what I got. Perfect for my situation.

[NEMA 5-15 Male] We have only two XLR jacks in the ceiling above our stage. Our choir has increased in size and I needed to cover a larger area. So I am using two of these and I am able to hang four overhead choir mics now. Works great.

[23 AWG] We are using them in a mixer for our drummer; they go into the direct outs in the board to the stage jacks XLR. So that our drummer can mix what he wants to hears and it does not affect the house mix.
