[Side Address] One of the best (some would say the best...) microphone in the business, particularly for vocals and lower sound level instruments (acoustic guitar, flute, etc...). Extremely sensitive, very low noise. Picks up the tiniest detail. The switchable polar pattern, integrated low cut filter and 10 dB attenuation pad means you can use them for anything in any situation, couple of switches and you are done. Just did a simultaneous recording with my Schoeps on a flute and these sounded even better, if that was at all possible. More velvet and refinment in the mid tones. You could immediately tell why they are unsurpassed on voice. If you can afford it and don't mind how large they are, this is the quintessential studio mic you need in your arsenal.

[Mono] Use these for cymbals, ac. guitar, violin... rich sounding instruments. Freq response is terrific & very versatile w/ 2 pad settings, 2 rolloff settings, & 2 patterns. I love having the shockmount clips as well.

[125dB (1% THD)] The C3000 is my main mic, I use it on acustic instruments as Classical, Acustic and Portuguese Guitar, and also on Vocals and as a room mic. It sounds closer to what you hear in the room then any other mic, with a smooth top end to help you to get warm vocals.

[Phantom Power] I have a project studio and record primarily acoustic instruments (Guitar, piano, various stringed instruments, hand percussion and vocals etc) Already own a set of Neumann KM 184's and an AKG C214 Large Diaphragm but have always had a fondness for the AKG small diaphragm sound ever since I started out years ago with a Vienna made C1000 (which I still have and love). I wanted another small diaphragm option and the 451's deliver big time. To be totally non technical I would describe the AKG's sound as open and airy especially on fingerstyle acoustic guitar. I tell people think of the old Windham Hill guitar sound. (yes I know they used Neumann's too). You will not go wrong with this mic if you play acoustic music.

I will be using this for recording vocals, instruments (bass, trumpet, guitar, sax) and synth (strings, piano, etc.). Having tried it on synth samples thus far, it adds a mellowing and pleasing analog feel to the recording quality. Excellent manufacturing and presentation.

[5/8"-27 Male] I use this mic in front of my Mesa Lonestar to get my guitar through our band's PA. Of course, the exercise of micing an amp takes a bit of trial and error regardless of which microphone you buy, but once I found the sweet spot, the e609 did the rest. Through the PA mains (and through recordings), I've come to find the representation of my amp's tone is very true and clear. I'd totally recommend this mic to anyone looking to get their guitar transmitted through their sound system. I'd buy another one of these in a second; all I need is another amp =)

[9.83 lb] It's a great little Di box, especially for the price. I recently had to mix a band and i used the three that i purchase here in B&H one to connect the bass guitar, an other one to connect rhythm guitar and the last one to connect a six strings guitar. All of them worked perfectly, the sound to my mixing board was super clear. I strongly recommend to any sound engineer.

[28 lb] This is a very solidly built item. My band purchased it for use by one of our guitar players who has been havin knee problems. The adjustable feature and foot rests make the chair very useful.

[48 V] I bought two for recording guitar and some band concerts. So far I have worked with these on acoustic guitar, stereo and mono mic'd, both near field and far field. To me, these mics sound incredibly clear and accurate. Zero noise that I can detect. I am really pleased with these. They sound much better than the Shure SM57 and noticeably better then my AT3035 LDC mics. I have had no problems. I run them at 0dB and with the 80Hz filter on. These are feeding a Presonus interface and a Mac running Logic Express 9. It's a dream set-up.
