Hard Wired Home Security Camera Systems

[22 TB] Replaced a home camera security system that’s been running continuously since 2014. The hard drive in that system was a western digital purple drive. Unquestionable reliability is the reason another WD Purple drive was purchased for the new system.

[16] I purchased this NVR for a simple two camera security system on my home. I bought a separate hard drive, which gave me twice the recording capacity for the same price as one that came pre-installed. Installation was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. It came with the necessary connectors to install the hard drive. I installed the NVR , along with my cable modern and wifi router, in a pantry and it works fine. It is plugged into a good quality surge protector. It make a bit more noise that I expected, but it is not bothersome. Hopefully it will provide years of service.

[NAS] The Lorex A14 IP Wired Dome Security Camera system works great. The pictures are clear and let you zoom in for a better view. This is the best camera system that I have had.

[3-pin female] This provides me the hard-wired connection I need for camera trigger, without having to stand right next to the camera. The only issue is - and it's true for any long cable like this, not just this one - is that you have to be careful not to pull on it, because this will juggle the camera on the tripod. I recommend securing it to the bottom of the tripod leg, so any pulling occurs there, not at the camera. Unfortunately, this shortens the effective reach of the cable by about 5 ft.. You may want to get two cables and daisy chain them, so you get enough reach to be useful.
