[8 W] I use seven of these to convert my IMAG production switcher HD/SDI output to HDMI/DVI input on projectors 550 feet away. The L.E.D. indicators are great for fast troubleshooting and signal confirmation. The dual re-clocked & EQ'ed SDI outputs make cascading the HD/SDI signal easy. Since it automatically adapts to the SDI input signal, I can switch between SD & HD formats seamlessly. I haven't needed to use the 3G SDI format yet but it's good to know it can handle that too.

[1x HDMI 1.4a] My B&K AVR doesn’t have hdmi. This switcher enables me to separate the digital audio from the high res video via an optical cable without sacrificing image or sound quality. Brilliant!

[131 °F] This optical HDMI cable is such a nice addition to my workflow, and I can see me using it in many situations. I often do presentations, and this allows me to send a video signal a long way to a display. I also tested it with a video camera to our small switcher. Now I can have the camera a very long distance from the switcher. And I can do so very easily and reliably. This was not easy to do with the limitations of regular HDMI cables. I did not notice any increase in latency when using this 130-foot cable as opposed to a regular HDMI cable, which is fantastic. The build quality of this optical HDMI cable is also excellent. The materials feel good and strong yet still very flexible. It feels like a very expensive and well-made cable, and the connectors feel like good quality too. The connections seemed secure and fit well. I think this cable will last a long time. Overall, I'm very impressed with this cable and know it will make long HDMI runs very easy, which is both helpful and appreciated. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Center] Amazing capabilities for a small switcher. Works perfectly with HDMI out from Mac laptop and SDI from my Sony cameras. Small, compact and does the job perfectly. Only addition I would recommend is a balanced audio input but workaround is relatively easy. Small form factor is a plus. No issues.

[HDMI] Our use case is driving two large 4k TVs in a conference room. We have a wireless streaming device, a Blackmagic SDI-HDMI converter, and two wall-plate HDMI inputs coming into the switcher. Sources are a mixture of HD, and 4k signals. A previous matrix switcher was unable to consistently negotiate the EDIDs and we were dealing with constant connection issues. So far, this A-Neuvideo switcher is functioning flawlessly. Things I love: * Solid construction and simple/clear controls * Not only an IR receiver extension, but two IR transmitters included so you can pass power on/off (for example) signals to your display devices * Included mounting brackets (metal, not plastic) and hardware * Web interface that just works and makes configuration and troubleshooting much easier * Included remote isn't premium, but a much better build than previous switcher * ~1-second signal switching time across all four inputs * Price was excellent given the feature set * Standoff screw posts for each HDMI input/output for HDMI cables with a screw lock to prevent them from wiggling loose Things I wish were different: * Phoenix connectors on the back make sense for serial connections, but seem unnecessary for analog audio - RCA or stereo connectors would have been preferred, in my opinion * Blue indicator LEDs are a little too bright and cast significant ambient light Bottom line: We haven't had this switcher long enough to comment on longevity, but if it continues to perform at this level we will be very happy.

[12 VDC (22 W)] Just set up my new workflow with a BlackMagicDesign ATEM 1 M/E Switcher. I brutally realized that I couldn't bring in HDMI from a Retina MacBook Pro, nor HDMI from an Apple TV (to use for convenient wireless airplay for presenters during recordings). I spent the weekend doing all the research I could to find solutions. I decided on this Datavideo scaler. It solved all my problems! Changing my HDMI output resolution via the software SwitchResX on my mac allowed me to bring a Mac directly into the ATEM without a scaler, BUT this allows me to do it with anyone's computer without the need for special software. AND it also made the Apple TV work great (set it to 1080p) AND I can now also bring in additional computers via VGA if I need to, which is awesome when I'm recording someone with a random computer of their own. I testes the VGA with a Mac (Thunderbolt adapter) and a slightly older Windows PC. Both worked perfectly, both with 4:3 and 16:9 presentations, no distortion in the picture that I could find. My workflow: I use an BMD ATEM 1 M/E Switcher with a production workflow of 1080i 59.64fps (limited to interlaced because of camera compatibility issues between the ATEM, a Sony FS700 and Canon C100). But now with the Datavideo scaler in this mix, this setup works flawlessly so far. Strongly recommend it!
