[0.045 lb] My mom uses computer speakers connected to the headphone jack on her Mac Mini. The jack failed (evidently this isn't uncommon). As an inexpensive workaround, I picked up this USB audio adapter, and it worked like a charm. Even plugged into a USB hub, it stays recognized and selected in the Sound System Preferences pane even after rebooting and waking from sleep. 5 |

[5.0] I bought a used Lenovo W510 laptop which had a combined headphone/mic jack. Nice computer, but I wanted to use it with Audacity to make digital recordings. This unit is inexpensive, plugs in and works just great. Small enough to carry it in the bag with the laptop. 93 dB s/n ratio gives clean, quiet recordings. Recommend to anybody who gets a computer with combined headphone/mic jack. 5 |
