Headphone Jack For Computer Speakers With Mic

[0.045 lb] My mom uses computer speakers connected to the headphone jack on her Mac Mini. The jack failed (evidently this isn't uncommon). As an inexpensive workaround, I picked up this USB audio adapter, and it worked like a charm. Even plugged into a USB hub, it stays recognized and selected in the Sound System Preferences pane even after rebooting and waking from sleep.

[5.0] I bought a used Lenovo W510 laptop which had a combined headphone/mic jack. Nice computer, but I wanted to use it with Audacity to make digital recordings. This unit is inexpensive, plugs in and works just great. Small enough to carry it in the bag with the laptop. 93 dB s/n ratio gives clean, quiet recordings. Recommend to anybody who gets a computer with combined headphone/mic jack.

[1 x A/D] Before getting this unit, I ran my four amplified audio speakers from the headphone jack on my iMac. Using audio for editing in Final Cut Pro, but also watching movies at night, I had a nest of splitters separating the stereo lines to the various speakers and also to my headphones. A friend suggested the quality would be better with a digital audio converter, so I purchased this one. I am thrilled with it. I ran all the wires under my editing table and the master volume knob is right there at the front of my desk where I can adjust it when the volume gets too loud (Bruce Willis movies, etc.) And the headphone jack is right where I need it, cutting out the amplified speakers just by plugging it in. Its the most useful addition to my computer in a long time.

[USB-C] These speakers sound great. They don't contain a cable to plug into the headphone jack on the computer. I had to go into my sound settings to activate them, bt that is a lesser issue. It's a great product.

[2.0-Channel] I love having this on my desk, and it has a headphone jack and mic jack. Big nob to adjust volume.

[Black] Use this for PowerPoint presentations at conferences. Computer headphone jack out to the Whirlwind, plus a Y cable XLR that mono-sums everything, then into the Mackie.

[7 W] My Pixel 3a has a mic/headphone jack, and I'm able to use an SM-57 as a mic now that I have this box. There's minimal hiss from the gain being turned up. I just wish there was an easier way to determine which gain setting I've dialed in. The cord to the mic and the cord to the phone/camera -- they are both ample and sturdy. So far the battery has gone 20+ hours without needing to be changed. Battery is a CR 2032 ...that's not always easy to find in the product description.

[0.1 lb] My G7 doesn't have a headphone jack, and this solves the problem when hooked up to a shotgun mic. Wonderful!
