Hidden Camera Home Security System

[ 3.5" HDD ] Replaced a home camera security system that’s been running continuously since 2014. The hard drive in that system was a western digital purple drive. Unquestionable reliability is the reason another WD Purple drive was purchased for the new system.

[2 RU] I purchased this NVR for a simple two camera security system on my home. I bought a separate hard drive, which gave me twice the recording capacity for the same price as one that came pre-installed. Installation was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. It came with the necessary connectors to install the hard drive. I installed the NVR , along with my cable modern and wifi router, in a pantry and it works fine. It is plugged into a good quality surge protector. It make a bit more noise that I expected, but it is not bothersome. Hopefully it will provide years of service.

[170 x 160°] We are very satisfied with the new doorbell camera. Of course, it’s only been in use for a week but is working very well with the Home Security System, as well as, the mobile app.

[5 VDC at 1.2 A] Needed for home security system, so far it works well for a reasonable price.

[8K] I am using this PoE for a home security system with Vivotek IP8335H 720P HD Cameras. It was very esatly to install, just hooked up the network from my 4 port router to port 8 of the switch, and attached my 4 cameras to the 4 ports that supply PoE and off I went!! It has a total of 8 ports, however 1 port must be used to supply the network to the unit, then there are 4 with PoE capability and that leaves 3 regular ethernet ports. Nice switch for the price. So far I havent found any fault with this item.

[0.18 lb] I bought this security system to install during my home remodeling project, it is going to take several months to complete this process and so I have not been able to use my system yet, but I bought lorex because I have been happy with their quality in the past, the technology that they use today, and all that I have read about these systems, and I am looking forward to powering up my new security system as soon as I can, thank you very much for your interest in my satisfaction, I know I am going to love it once I get everything done, I am also pairing my system with alexa to keep my home safe.

[Yes] This was one of two cameras I purchased recently for a security system I installed on my home. It covers a side of my house where a boat and camper are stored. Installation was straightforward, mounted under the eaves of my roof, although it took me a minute to interpret the Ikea-like instructions for removing the cover when adjusting and installing. His-Vision had a digital video on their website that was helpful with that. Daytime picture quality is terrific. Nighttime is good, although this type of camera uses infrared, so the image is black and white. I have not fully mastered setting parameters for notifications, thanks to ADHD. Someday . . .

[100] I only had 1 TB hard drive in my 4K home security system and would only get about a day worth of replay. With this new additional 10 TB I have 9 days and counting since I installed. This Seagate Skyhawk is the perfect solution. I just plugged it in and off I went. Very Happy. Fast delivery and well packaged.

[Zipper] This camera is the hidden little gem of the camera world. Its only real weakness is the auto-focus system, which is not phase-based but contrast-based. This leads to slow auto-focus performance. Also, there is no in-body image stabilization, like the Sony A7 series. Those are the main complaints. Everything else is amazing. Superb color science and IQ, cinema-grade video, phenomenal low-light performance. I moved over to the fp from a Sony A7iii, which was a fine camera. But this camera...I just have fallen in love with it. It has changed my photography game drastically. I expect the Mark II will use a phase-based auto-focus system, fixing the major weakness with this platform. For IS, you have to rely on IS lenses.
