[4.2 oz / 120 g] The zoom adapter is pretty high quality as expected with Canon. It's also very quiet and works great for use with video. I was considering using a manual third party zoom and jig set but decided to go with the full experience with the adapter. The only con is the price, it's a bit high for a simple two-step motor Delivery was fast as always with B&H and it was packaged nicely. The zoom adapter also came with batteries and had two modes, PZ/MZ (Power Zoom/Manual Zoom). In order for the adapter to work it make sure you select PZ. Overall, this zoom adapter is perfect for the DSLR Video enthusiast but could cost a bit less.

[Event data] Axis has blown my mind with this cameras, it captures license plates with ease. The zoom is ridiculous. Pair this camera with OpenALPR and you could get the lowest priced LPR solution on the market. Worth every penny.

[f/4] As a professional who's worked with many cameras, both heavy and awkward, from film to digital, I'm here to tell you that this lens is truly outstanding in terms of performance, versatility and build quality. As of January 2024, this lens seems undervalued and underrated compared to Nikon's other exotic primes, both mirrorless and DSLR, if we're looking at the price of these used (half price for 9+ used B&H rating). Great images come with the use of a good tripod, proper technique and good light. Lots of people want to complain about weight, well this type of equipment comes with a price, and not just monetarily. You want fast glass, i.e. you want lots of light dumping through the front element? OK, these lenses are large and that means more heft, especially when you factor in the zoom. But don't forget with said zoom, you'll receive the glorious ability to make game changing compositional decisions. This is truly a one and done lens! 10/10 for me.

[1.26 lb] This product is a new toy for me. I have a few cameras but nothing like this. I found it much more easy to handle with a mini mondo stick while only useing the wrist lanyard. Useing the zoom feature, movie and photo buttons were easy but to read info on the screen , with goggles on, was impossible, so it was a case of set and forget. The camera took good photos and movies but I would only use it in this houseing for underwater use. The down side is the houseing needs “sights” to lineup subjects, and the filming light needs to be brighter or bigger or maybe a different colour so it is easier to see .I got about an hour of use from the battery which is OK seeing the camera is continually on and working the zoom. All up, it is a very good unit snorkeling and shallow diving. With more practice this unit will shine in a new world.

[Mono] I had not owned a standalone camera since 2005, because when smartphones came, they were actually better for point and shoot. But after recently getting into birds, I decided I needed a real camera with zoom, so I did some research. I knew (from my astronomy hobby) that cameras with smaller sensors struggle with low light (and its aggravated at longest zoom), but the cameras with larger sensors are a lot more expensive, (and tend to require larger/heavier lenses). So I was not expecting Pro DSLR performance, just something good enough for casual birding. This kodak camera delivered just what I needed. The 40x optical zoom is great for getting close up to birds without them flying away. Heres too snapshots from yesterdays birding trip (taken at full 40x zoom in auto mode). Focusing at 40x takes some learning (and its not very fast), and the continuous shooting gatling mode is a little dark/noisy (I ended up just taking normal stills), but its definitely good enough for what I wanted: casual birding. About batteries: I chose the 401 over the 421 because of the AA batteries. Tip: on settings menu, set screen brightness to -2, and very important: when using rechargable batteries, set battery type to NiMH on the menu, because rechargables are lower voltage (if you dont set this correctly, the camera cant tell a half-full rechargable from a discharged alkaline). With those two settings and eneloop rechargables Ive had no issues. Yous probably enjoy this camera if your budget cant stretch beyond $150 and you want a camera for: daytime outdoor use with good light, quality superzoom, optical image stabilization for hand-holding it, compact and lighweight for carrying along with binos on birding hikes, AA batteries for reliability/replaceability (have you ever had to replace a perfectly good smartphone just because its built in lithium battery cant hold charge anymore?). I wouldnt get it for shooting night weddings, bur for my style of birding, its great!
