The original (high-end professional) product had been recommended by another supplier, and I was skeptical that it would make any difference to replace as it was amplifying and combining the same signal. This combiner (made specifically with tuning to support Digital IEM's) instantly fixed all of the issues I had been chasing for months. The IEM's are now solid from hundreds of yards away, and no dropouts. This thing has saved my productions.

[2] There was a ground loop after I added the Parasound A21+ to my system. Using my Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp, there was a noisy signal traced to the ground midpoint on the DirecTV antenna cable at the home cable entrance. It is a difficult ground loop because the shield of the DirecTV coaxial cable carries the power for the roof antenna. It would not help to make a single star ground because there is always a length of powered shield between the home theater/stereo boxes and the outdoor grounded entrance (grounded there at the outside wall by electrical) code. Fortunately, the Iso-Max breaks the ground loop at the input the A21+, so other potential ground problems may be cleared as well. While I was very hesitant to add anything to the input analog signal path, this seems to be the best and most practical solution. So far, I do not hear any difference, no perceived distortion or loss of fidelity.
