[15 x 7.2 x 7"] This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Setup was initially a bit of a struggle. The wireless equipment that I have at home is business class and does not utilize WPS. I looked over the documentation and it seemed straight forward. There was something I was missing, because the wireless network that the scanner puts out is secured with a password. It wasn’t until I attempted to use my smart phone and the picture indicated the SSID and PASSWORD were on the bottom (boy did I feel dumb). After that, it was smooth sailing. What impresses me most about the scanner so far is the speed and high resolution quality scans. Prior to receiving the scanner to test and write a review (this review), I had been using an app on my iPhone. It works great for on the go (receipts, single pieces of paper and one offs). However, I had been reluctant to use it for covering the paperwork around my office. Now that I have the ES-300W, I should make quick work of digitizing my pile of papers. I can’t say honestly that I would have run out to buy one of these (because I wasn’t in the market), but for such a compact and light-weight device, it is truly fantastic. I can see this for a small home office, or if you are a person on the go and travels a lot, but needs access to a device that provides high-res scans, this would fit nicely in your bag.

The set-up was super easy from unboxing to initializing….totally user friendly. I never had one issue, and that is saying a lot! As a small business owner, I found this printer ideal and perfect for high volume use. And there is no warm-up time! I was truly amazed and so pleased by the professional high quality printing and its speed, and I especially loved the way it prints face down, allowing for greater for privacy. Plus, all of the prints were dry. I love all the features and can’t rave enough about this printer! And the EcoTanks allows for much less waste than cartridges, not to mention having to constantly buying the cartridges. Another great factor is that Epson offers this model for small businesses or even a home office in a compact design that doesn’t take up a lot of space. [25 to 400%] I purchased this printer/scanner for my home office. I love the size as it fits perfectly where i intended it to be. It runs smoothly with minimal noise when it prints. The quality of the copies is HP perfect.

[180 Pages] The Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5170 printer is a nifty mid-size dual level printer, scanner, and fax machine. The big feature on this great for work at home workers and small business owners printer is its EcoTank ink system. While at first I was apprehensive that I would make a mess filling up the ink such fears went away after I added the first color and discovered how quick and easy and safeguarded the process is. The other fear I had was around the set up of the printer – both the physical and network setup would be difficult, but nothing could be further from reality. The printer comes completely intact in the box. Just pull it out and plug it in and your printer is set up. Adding the printer to your wifi network and getting out up and running was also super simple with prompts to guide you along the way. The same goes for the app which is where you’ll be doing much of your printing. I just wish the app had a better user interface since I found it a bit clunky. Now on the main event – how it works. For a home printer you will be hard pressed to find a better printer, especially when it comes to quality and speed. This thing produces high quality prints – whether it be regular print jobs, double sided jobs, labels, photos, ID cards – crisply and quickly. The scanner and copier functionalities also were great whether it was a single page or several. Overall, this is printer is sturdy, attractive, and works great. If you do a lot of printing at home, this is the printer to get. And the money you’ll save with the EcoTank makes it well worth the price. Another great product from Epson.
