[480 x 800] Perfect work from home speaker phone 5 |

[Download] It does what it's supposed to, a nice lil' headphone amp for home recording. As with most Presonus gear... good construction/design, quality components and great pricing. Separate monitor level and mute plus mono switch nice touches. So are the 1/3 rack space size and pre-threaded bottom plate for mounting. Relatively clean and powerful. 5 |

[44.5 lb] I am a physicist. (energy physics not matter physics). I am also a sound engineer, coincidentally, the control of sound energy. This amp is VERY GOOD for bench testing audio control devices and speakers. The addition of an unbalanced input makes it very handy for typical bench tests. Because I am retired I also use commercial speakers for my home stereo system. Use of commercial speakers is much cheaper than consumer speaker products that, by and large, do Not provide full range audio despite deceitful specs claiming otherwise. The commercial speaker is also built to last and far more reliable than consumer designs. (will last decades under home stereo use... my last amp lasted 31 years... speakers are still going strong) I use this amp as my home stereo amp driving 1,200 watt rated commercial speakers that actually reproduce 20Hz. (actual amp power use rarely exceeds 75 watts peak and 25 watts average) In that unique use... the amp fan noise is detectable so I place it behind a glass paneled cabinet. Aside from fan noise, the amp performs very well and for the price is one of the best bargains there is. Keep in mind... the typical consumer stereo amp is Designed To Fail and the primary reason is.... no active fan cooling. (a flawed design that minimizes ambient noise) The amp provides plenty of dynamic headroom (nearly 6dB under typical home stereo use) and presents no excessive noise floor problems. I use a receiver with balanced XLR outputs, a balanced 31 band EQ to drive the amp and control volume. My speaker connections are Speakon. Bottom line... A very good simple amp for multiple purposes at a very good price. If you are an engineer who loves music and movies you will quickly recognize the wisdom of putting up with a bit of fan noise to achieve excellent performance and very long term reliability. 5 |

[12 V, 4.5 Ah] I used this, as well as the Samson Concert 288 wireless microphone system, for an all day event with about 100 people under a large tent. I was able to connect a PC audio (with video going to a large flat screen TV), two wireless mics, an XLR input from a solo musician's system and Bluetooth connected to my cellphone to play music. I could easily switch between inputs and adjust tone. The sound output was good, with the sturdy speaker stands elevating the speakers above all heads. The system is very portable, with the amp/mixer snapping into the side of one speaker and a small storage space in the other speaker for power and speaker cables. The two speakers slide together for easy transport, except the comprehensive instructions did not tell me how to get them apart. They are shipped with thin cardboard between them so you have to keep hitting them to slide them apart. After the first time they are separated and the cardboard removed, they slide together easier. My only concern is that the amp/mixer locks into the side of one of the speakers, leaving all of the face exposed. It would be better if there were some sort of panel to cover and protect all of those controls and inputs. 5 |

[9.535 lb] The mid-range can sound week when powered will a low powered amp. While it's true that the speaker sounds better listening to electronic Music than classical, using a sub can easily solve this problem. These little giants deserve at least a 4.5 ratings. Rex 5 |

[29.15 lb] This is a solid integrated amp. I have an RME ADI-2 DAC feeding the CD inputs with the amp set to its CD Direct mode for a straightforward analog signal path. I use the DAC's volume control and leave the Yamaha volume at about 12 o'clock for convenience, with suitable gain for my setup. Since the amp has A and B sets of speaker outputs, and my speakers have a bi-wiring option, I decided to separately feed the speaker's high and low frequency inputs from the amp's A and B outputs. Then, for initial testing of my wiring, I switched A-only or B-only on the amp, to confirm I would hear high-only or low-only sound. That showed my connections were as intended. Then I left the amp switched to feed both A and B. My wiring is nothing fancy, just Monoprice 14-gauge OFC, and this bi-wired hookup is similar to using a single, heavier gauge cable. 5 |

[Side-Firing] With no reviews anywhere on the web, I took a gamble on these and ordered two. Klipsch is a great brand of speakers so I thought they should be good and I was not disappointed. I ran one 100ft and one 50ft 14 gauge speaker wire from 100w per channel home theater receiver to each speaker. You could use any amp rated 100w - 200w per channel speaker or a A and B/ multizone capable receiver) Clear instructions from klipsch told me how to cross the speaker's four wires over to create either 2 channel (for one speaker only) or to create 1 channel per speaker (left and right) like I have it. Set the speakers approx 20ft apart, pointed towards the house and turned the receiver on. Adjusted the distance to get the pefect stereo sound when sitting at the patio table. Turned the receiver to the max and sound didn't distort one bit, the speakers still have more to offer if your amp or receiver is greater than 100w per channel. The highs are precise and clear just as advertised and the lows/bass were surprisingly solid for outdoors, no need for a separate subwoofer. I have the sandstone which is a slightly lighter color than the rest of my rock patio but they don't look out of place. I absolutely love them and if you want quality, the money is well spent with these. 5 |

[2] I am using this amp in bridged mode for an outdoor speaker. For the price I paid for it, I am surprised at the power, quality of sound and the quality of construction. As usual, B&H offers great shipping to Canada - Fast and no surprises. 5 |
