Home Stereo Receiver 5.1

[ARC] I have a Sonos home theater system (Beam, Mini Sub, Sonos 1s') in my living room, and I had an unrelated stereo music setup in another room. I recently bought a turntable which I hooked up to my passive speakers and my older stereo receiver. So I bought the Sonos amp to replace the receiver. Beyond the expected Sonos connection I found an unexpected dramatic improvement in sound quality from my turntable/speakers. Now my stereo sounds great with my vinyl collection and can be played n my living room and anther room where I have additional Sonos speakers. Fantastic! The amp has also given me other benefits -- a TV connected to it via HDMI, IOS control, etc. Well worth the cost....

[4 lb] I use this device in conjunction with Logic Pro on a 2021 MBP to record, mix, monitor, and master in stereo and sometimes 5.1, mostly for video soundtracks. It has a clear, clean, open sound that accurately reflects even subtle changes in mix and plugin settings. The accompanying TotalMix software has very powerful routing options, and once it is configured, makes it easy to switch between stereo and 5.1. For those relatively new to recording and mixing, be aware that this is a professional grade tool. For what it can do, it is very simple to operate, but you can expect a learning curve to absorb the concepts behind TotalMix. That doesn't mean not to buy it, it is completely worth taking the time to learn, and RME has outstanding tutorials. For more of a plug-and-play experience in Logic that will also deliver fine sound but with fewer input and routing options, look to Apogee.

It has a dazzling number of inputs and outputs for its size, and TotalMix gives the user super powerful routing options. Once configured, TotalMix makes it easy to jump between stereo and 5.1. My only caveat is that this is a professional tool, and if you are relatively new to this line of work, there will be a learning curve to understand all of the options the interface has and the concepts behind TotalMix. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy it, it is 100% worth it to take the time to learn, and RME has excellent tutorials. This interface will honestly represent what you play through it and will give you the power to create the recording you envision.

[28 x 17 x 9.5"] I have an old technics receiver and when 5.1 is turned on it doesnt get warm, it gets really hot, however, since the very first day i started using the T10 the situation changed. I did several tests and i can say this thing works and very good. At higher speeds you can listen some noise coming from the fan, but if you are playing movies or music you are not going to listen it. Im using it in medium speed and the noise is pretty low. In my test i first started using the receiver at high volume with the 5.1 turned on (The T10 was Off). The temperature after one hour was pretty high, over 40°C (110°F), but after turning the Fan on, the T10 lowered in only 20 minutes the temperature to 30°C (86°F), keeping it always working for hours at the same temperature. (I used smart mode) If you spend hundreds of USD in your receiver, i suggest to invest 129 USD in this product for making your receiver works properly, under good temperature levels and finally extending the life of your receiver. Finally, for me this device worths every single dollar.
