[Yes] I have hundreds of CD's I'm downloading to the my iTunes and hard drive. I have an HP All-In-One PC which has the DVD/CD drive on the right side of the monitor. For me it's more convenient having the DVD/CD drive on the desktop. The only negative is the supplied USB cable is only 2 feet long and I had to use a 3 foot cable which I already owned.

[3.6 W (Active)] When I recently purchased a new mini computer to replace my 8 year old desk top tower PC I knew I would have to also purchase an external cd/dvd drive because I am constantly ripping my ever growing cd collection into my computer so I can put the music on a portable 2TB hard drive for my car, which no longer has a cd player. I had purchased a couple of the usual external disc drives that do not fully eject the tray and you have to pull it out by hand and push it back in, which is a totally pain especially since they are so light weight and you also have to hold the unit down with your other hand while you push the tray back in so it won't move around... totally inconvenient for the amount of discs I knew I would be putting in and ejecting out of the drive. Luckily, I found this awesome unit on B&H and have been thrilled with it from the second I plugged it in. It stays exactly where I want it on my desk, smoothly ejects and pulls back in the tray, and has WAY faster read speeds than the cheap flimsy drives I used before purchasing this great device. I knew I wasn't going to need a blu ray drive so I saved a few dollars from buying this unit which is just for, since it won't read blu ray discs. Within a couple of weeks of receiving this I have already been able to rip a few hundred cds from my collection in the short amount of time I get to do this task, and the portable drive for my car is getting filled up fast with the music I enjoy listening to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and worth every penny.

[Fabric] I need CD blanks to first backup my computer, in case of external/internal hard drive failure. And to copy/burn and to store relevant data. So I choose Verbatim because they are highly reliable and I have had success with them before.

Reasonably priced and very easy to install if you have a DVD/CD drive built in. If you don't have a DVD/CD drive you can easily download the driver...still a snap.

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the external LG CD/DVD drive because my new laptop doesn't have a drive. I have decent music CD collection and the LG device has allowed me to listen to and copy, my music onto my laptop. It's fast and plays everything well. It's also streamlined and easy to keep on my desk without taking up too much space or getting in the way.

[0.055 lb] I use this to keep my external hard drive connected to my laptop. I used to just let it hangout next to my computer. This is sooooo much better.

[Black] I have an HP laptop with 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 Thunderbolt ports. I have 2 Western digital drives attached to my USB ports and wanted to use a third USB 3.0 drive to perform backups without having to use a USB hub. This works perfectly and has allowed me to attach my USB 3.0 backup drive as needed to the Thunderbolt port and it powers the drive fine with all drive functionality working. I also use it to attach my Sony XQD card reader to import photos and that works great too! Can’t beat this for the price and it has a small footprint so I just always leave it attached.

[Yes] I bought this laptop to replace my 7 year old HP Pavilion laptop. I was happy with the quality of the computer, as well as the Intel processor. It is a beautiful computer at a reasonable price.
