Ide To Sata Adapter

[Plastic] I bought this adapter to retrieve files from an IDE disk drive that was in an older computer that failed. Not having a system with IDE interface to connect the drive to, I needed the adapter to connect to a system with a SATA drive interface. The adapter worked perfectly. If the system that you intend to use this adapter in does not have a LP4 Molex 4 pin power connector for the IDE drive, you will need a SATA to LP4 Power Cable Adapter - F/M, which is StarTech product ID LP4SATAFM6IN.

[SATA III, IDE] Worked great as advertised on both SATA and IDE hard drives. Fast response time.

[12 VDC at 1.2 A] Drive will not be recognized as ACHI it is documented on the packaging I believe. Set your SATA PCH in bios to IDE.

[0.185 lb] This SATA adapter works great, Best Buy!

[SATA I] Only adapter we found that works with newer model computers. We use it in a classroom environment with removable IDE drives and it works perfectly

[1x 7-Pin SATA] Just installed my first SSD, 250GB Crucial BX100, using this adapter, part no. BRACKET25X2, which included 2 SATA cables and a SATA "Y" power cable for two drives as well as the 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adapter. The part is not only well designed, fitting the SSD perfectly, but included all the hardware to mount two 2.5 inch SATA drives in the 3.5 inch "floppy drive" slot on my old Dell Optiplex 755. Only issue was the four fiber washers that would not fit: being concerned that they were necessary, I called Tech Support and wonder of wonders at 3:30PM EDT an agent picked up the call after about a 1 minute wait! All I can say is that I will not hesitate to buy more StarTech products if this one is typical of the rest of their product line.

[1x 2.5"/3.5" ] Excellent USB-C 3.1 to sata adapter. I was having multiple issues with multiple other vendors not seeing the correct formatting on SSD drives used by the Ninja V+ above 2TB. This one works and I get full transfer speed. I am also using it for loose sata ssds not related to my Nina product without any issues. I should have bought this sooner than I did.

[1x 7-Pin SATA] I have been using StarTech USB 3 to SATA adapter cables for quite a few years without any issues whatsoever. My most recent purchase was the USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) SATA to USB C version. For large files, the copy speeds are in the range of 300-400 Mbps, which is excellent. The USB 3 to SATA adapter cables are very handy for adding an external SSD to a laptop with a very small footprint.
