Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Hs Adapter Windows 10

[Yes] It works with Windows 10 via bluetooth

[1] I bought Waves NX Head Tracker to use it with Logic Pro X in a Mac Pro Mid 2010 OS El Capitan and Bluetooth 2.1 I needed Bluetooth 4.0, so I bought this StarTech adapter. Plugged into my computer, but it was not recognized as BT 4.0. Then I downloaded Hardware_IO_Tools_for_Xcode_7.3.dmg, and installed Bluetooth Explorer in the Applications folder. Opened it, Tools menu and choose HCI Controller Selector, I clicked at the arrows and selected Broadcom Corp and clicked Activate. Done My computer recognized the StarTech adapter as Bluetooth 4, and I was able to use my excellent Waves NX Head Tracker.

[500 GB] I'm using it as the D drive in an Intel NUC, with Windows 10 installed on an SSD C drive. This WD Blue model is an SMR drive. I don't know that I would recommend it as a primary system drive but I have never tried that. I needed a high capacity low profile second drive. This one works great for that kind of usage.

[USB-A (2.0)] Works great…use it as a replacement for my current onboard intel wireless adapter…highly recommend!

[1] I wanted a Bluetooth adapter to allow the connection of a keyboard and mouse to my desktop. Works great with Windows 7.

[Left] Bluetooth pairs well with Windows or Linux on my laptop, and the USB adapter provides reliable fallback. The mouse fits my large hands, feels solid, and responds smoothly.

[4] I ended up upgrading from a AMD 3600x running on a B450 motherboard. While the AMD wasn't a slouch I wanted a little more future proofing and something that last 3-4 year's running DDR4. I thought about upgrading to a B550 and 5xxx processor but with the USB troubles AMD has had off and on. There attitude of being a small company when it comes to there drivers. I decided there was more value this generation in intel. Overall I am extremely pleased and the computer in General seems more snappy and responsive. I am sure part of that is the upgrade from PCI-Express 3.0 to 4.0 as most my components run the 4.0 standard. I don't think you can really go wrong with the intel processor this Generation. They might use a bit more power but unless your running the computer 24-7 under high work loads I don't see power consumption being a issue.

[0.305 lb] UE boom's bluetooth wireless speakers never disapoint. It's my 3rd one in 10 years, and I've always been satisfied.

[0.07 lb] Was gifted a Poly wireless headset. But needed the Bluetooth adapter for it to work with my work computer. I had to disable the computer Bluetooth but after that this little adapter can reach around my whole house. I have even answered calls from my kitchen while cooking lunch.
