[6500K] I use it with my ipad or iphone. iphone flash too hot on phone and no flash on ipad. Works great for closer shots for more flash-like exposure. I shoot sometimes food plates for a restaurant and I can quickly upload to facebook the day's specials, etc. I do not have to do any enhancing of color or light before posting. Just cropping of course. Throws a lot of light, is adjustable, and works well with a reflective card.

[41mm] I use this on all my Ring flash portraits for evenly distributed light and a nice catch light for yes. This is a great modifier for the Profoto Ring flash as it adds a nice broad balance to the light source. My only negative comment regarding this product is that it is hard to hand hold at times

[PC] The ring flash works nicely.though I would prefer someone made a dedicated unit for Pentax. Shutter speed slows as you stop down on the aperature 40 and less on shutter speed on manual. I do like the continuous light for shooting and setting up in less than favorable light. If you have a 49mm lens go ahead and order a step up adapter for from 49 to 52 so you can use the unit.

[Nikon i-TTL] I really like this ring flash. It's better built and more powerful than a much less expensive version I purchased a couple of years back from another manufacturer. In fact, at time a bit too powerful in that even at 1/128th power I have more light than I need when I try to balance fill flash with ambient light. It appears to sync at 1/160th and below on my Canon. I believe I begin getting horizontal lines at 1/200th and above (and there's no high speed sync function). I like the ability to control the focus assist light in 10 steps. When the flash is too powerful for my ambient light effort, I dial up the focus-assist lamp and often have all the power I need. Like all Godox equipment, it's well built and well priced. Happy.

[58mm] I have only had this ring flash for three weeks and I have fallen in love with it. I purchased it specifically to illuminate my water drop/splash photography. Contrary to many reviews indicating the lack of power, this flash has plenty of punch to light up my work at f/11, giving me ample depth of field. I am using the ring flash as a single light using the left and right tubes set a 1/1024 power resulting in a 1/30,000sec flash duration, plenty to freeze the splash action. Se attached image. I recommend this unit for serious professional Macro work.

[Shoe Mount] First, I want to say that I have had no issues like a couple of the reviews have stated with regards to the mounting ring. It mounts securely to the filter adapter ring (which is a slip on fit, not threaded like one review mentions), and the flashes themselves can be positioned in any of the 24 locking detents by releasing with the push buttons, moving to the new location and letting it snap into place. I have attached a photo of them in a non-balanced position to show them locked in place. I have to think the two reviews that mention this have installed their mounting ring incorrectly. The flashes are responsive and work great with any Godox wireless trigger, and can be set to manual or TTL, and biased with flash exposure compensation for each flash. In my limited testing with them so far, the flashes have fired every time, with good power and repeatable exposure. The built-in diffusers help a bit, but they are still fairly small light sources. As such, you will probably want to rig up some extra diffusion for the best lighting. Overall, given the price of the kit, the ease of repositioning flashes and the quality of light, it's really hard to beat. Most macro flashes of this type are significantly more expensive and also more cumbersome due to the wired nature. This can also integrate seamlessly into your other Godox lights, which can be great if using another flash for a background light or rim light. I wish the native diffusers were a little larger, and perhaps that the batteries were replaceable, as you may be stuck in the field if you run out of battery, though the battery life is quoted to be pretty good. However, for the price it's hard to nitpick.

[Battery] Never had one, never thought of getting one but the more I read the more intrigued i got. Reminded me or a ring light for a macro lens that do wonders for your shots. I really havent put it to use yet thats coming in a week but have been playing around with it and doing some shooting on still objects and it is a world of difference from using a flash and my dog doesnt even run when I get it out like he does when he sees a flash. I intend on using it quite a bit so i will update later. Construction and materials are pretty good for the money and the packing was superb no damage, B&H does it again. I may look into an led version for outdoor use with my flowers this summer.

[5900K] Was looking for a replacement for the Metz Mecablitz ring light that was discontinued. This macro ring flash from Godox actually far exceeds the Mecablitz. It's the perfect ring flash if you are looking for a new, inexpensive unit. Can't recommend enough!
